The Power of God’s Creation O, Lord, our God, our wonderful is your world! We are in awe at the power of your creation. You created water, which gives us life. Water, so refreshing to drink, but also a thing of great beauty. Lord, we are sorry that at times we moan about the rain because there are so many countries where people die for lack of rain. Lord, forgive us. Lord, help  us to lift our eyes to see the rainbow after the rain and remember your covenant promise made to Noah after the flood.   As we approach Holy Week, I wonder how you have journeyed through Lent. Have you given up chocolate or wine? Have you taken something up? volunteering? I, for the third-year running have been involved with the Victoria Methodist Bristol Lent Knitalong. Two years ago, it was a cushion cover, last year a scarf, this year a prayer shawl. It was real pleasure to see so many people at this years Daffodil Day and to share in an interview with Pam Rhodes something of the work that Methodist Women in Britain is doing at this time, including Ruth’s period poverty project. I have since been told of other churches who are hoping to take this up. The hall decorated with so many lovely daffodils made an amazing backdrop for the day. Of course purists will say that daffodils are really narcissi and related to the amaryllis.
