When assuming the European Ryder Cup captaincy earlier this year Henrik Stenson made multiple assurances he wouldn’t jump to LIV Golf. According to reports in multiple British newspapers, subsequently confirmed by a Golf Digest source with intimate knowledge of the issue, Luke Donald is expected to be named the captain of the 2023 European Ryder Cup team that will compete in Italy.
