A short, but successful stint in Japan this year, was topped off with a victory for Chan Kim at the season finale JT Cup. Kim has now moved up to 73rd in the world and will enjoy the winter break from now until possibly April next year. Seon Woo Bae capped off a very consistent run of events in Japan, with another Top 10 finish- her sixth from nine tournaments this year.Joining Bae with a T-10th finish, was the veteran pair of Adjummas Mi Jeong Jeon and Ji Hee Lee. Jiyai Shin will have to wait until next year to pick up her 60th career victory. It will happen. We all hope plenty of better things will happen next year. Min Young Lee will have some added confidence for next week’s Ricoh Cup, after her solo second finish at The Elleair Ladies Open- her best result of 2020, so far… Bo Mee Lee backed up her T-3rd finish last week, with a T-15th, but it was not enough to qualify for next week’s season ending Major. Lee will still take a lot of pleasure from her form over the past fortnight. After his 4th place finish last week, Chan Kim continued his impressive form, with a T-5th result at The Dunlop Phoenix Open. Kim ‘claimed’ that he was not in the best of form leading up to the event, but once again the unpredictability of golf was rectified! Hye Jin Choi 17 tournaments: 2 wins, 13 Top 10s, T-17th and 33rd. No missed cuts.
