So I’m on hometime right now sitting and scrolling on Facebook. I see an advertisement talking about Illinois state police need more Troopers. I live in STL so getting an ad for Illinois makes sense since I live so close but I wasn’t too interested because every time I see a DOT or State Police ad it’s usually from $40-$50k. All seal areas from what I could see with a flashlight were completely fine when I was doing my PT, no leaks, no serious issues at all. I'm no where near perfect so MAYBE there's a sign I missed, but god dammit I will NEVER make that mistake again if it's truly all a matter of alleged negligence. Do your trucks only go fast for 5 minutes at a time? I have my cruise set to 70 in a 75. Come up behind an Altom doing ~64. Stay behind him for a few miles until the left lane opens up, then pass. A few more miles down the road, here comes the same truck doing 72-75 & passes me in stages. Like, cab creches up with trailer, matches my speed for a bit.
