The Importance Of A Routine During Lockdown

After such a lovely, warm response on my last post, I thought I'd discuss today the importance of having a routine during this period of 'lockdown'. I've also shared below an example of a daily routine in the hope it gives you some inspiration on how to structure your days.  I've noticed I have been more mentally drained than ever these past few days and it's most likely because I am getting used to a completely new routine and adjusting my life at home to also make room for my work-life too. What I've realised is, I must make do with the situation that we are all faced with and try to ig ..read more

"Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace." I've been thinking all morning of ways that I can use this blog, alongside my job as a qualified psychotherapist, to help people who may be struggling with their mental health during this pandemic. I hope that by sharing a few tips that I am currently recommending to my clients, it may help to ease the anxiety widespread.  First and foremost, it is perfectly normal to be feeling anxious and uneasy about life at present, as the news is changing by the hour. Acknowledge these feelings but try your best to rega ..read more

A LONG WEEKEND IN MADRID

In the bleak, looooong month of January, having a holiday booked somewhere really helps to keep your spirits up and avoid those, all too common, January blues. Four friends, a sunny city with plenty of sights to see- and plenty of places to have a drink, it's no wonder we had a great time in Madrid! I thought I'd share with you what we got up to and hopefully, it may give you some ideas of where to visit if you are planning a trip to the Spanish Capital.  Firstly, we stayed in a hotel called 'Room Mate Mario' which I would highly recommend. The rooms were very clean and it was the id ..read more

Wow. This feels super strange. I'm writing this on a raining Saturday afternoon. I haven't touched my blog since May last year. I've kept well away from clicking the 'stats' button and avoided everything to do with my blog. I guess I lost myself for a while to be truthfully honest. I'm not sure whether I grew out of blogging or lost my passion with it, but I haven't felt like doing it again for a long while.  I used to adore writing about makeup and skincare products. It used to be my little piece of haven that I had on the internet. I started blogging back in the first year of University ..read more

*These products were gifted, however, all opinions remain 100% my own and honest. First of all, how pretty is this packaging??!!  These three products are in the new luxe everyday shower and skincare range from Skinny Tan. The smell of these products is absolutely incredible! We had a family party last weekend which I fake-tanned for (funnily enough using Skinny Tan's wonder serum) and I've found that these products have not only made my tan look even more amazing and glowy (see below pictures!) but they've also helped to prolong it. All of these products are available in Boots and online (s ..read more

Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam Review

*This product was gifted, however all opinions remain 100% my own and honest. When Bondi Sands got in touch with me and asked if I'd like to try out their new foam, I jumped at the chance. I've never actually tried any of the Bondi Sands tanning products, but I have always wanted to as I've heard such great things about them and the tan itself always looks very healthy on other people. This tan retails at £14.99 (shop here). This tanning foam in particular is different to the original Bondi Sands foam as this one doesn't need to be washed off- Amazing! You just leave it on your skin for at le ..read more

72 Hours In The Lake District

The Lake District is a BIG place, covering 912 square miles, so I'd say it has something for everyone. My boyfriend (Jack) and I went to the Lake District last week for three days for a little mini-break as we are both in the midst of our masters' degrees and in dire need of some rest, relaxation and recuperation. Over three days we didn't get to see everything that the Lake District has to offer but considering we went for a rest, we certainly saw the sights. We had a car and the weather on our side but no pre-planned itinerary, so I thought I would share with you what we got up to! Wednesda ..read more
