Sydnee and Tyler’s modern and sleek wedding was a beautiful affair, from the stunning lakefront venue of A View West Shores to the elegant reception decor. The couple’s wedding invitations were no exception, reflecting their contemporary style with a simple and modern design.
The invitations were created using a minimalist approach, with a focus on clean lines and a sleek color palette. The main color used was off-white with black typography. The design featured a bold sans-serif font, with a mix of upper and lowercase letters to create a modern look.
The invitation suite consisted of a main ..read more

Welcome to the second post in my blog series about the top 10 questions I get about wedding invitations. So why wait? Let’s jump to numbers seven through five.
7. Does everyone get a plus one?
Simple answer to this one: No. Just because you’re inviting someone who does not have a significant other does not mean it’s mandatory that they get the option to bring a guest to your wedding. If you’re having a wedding where A) you want to know everyone there to keep it small and intimate or B) don’t have a lot of room for guests, an extra one guest can make a difference.
I use this example a lot when ..read more

A classic look. It’s my jam. When a bride is telling me about the dreamy invitations she wants that involves a classic font, classic layout and black on white paper…I’m signed up. When Beth & Austin came to me with this exact style for their Country Club of Lincoln wedding in April, they came to the right place.
Black Pocket Invitations
These pocket style invitations were the beginning of so many beautiful things that happened on wedding day. I loved the script font we ended up for their invitation suite along with the simple “G” monogram. We also used their monogram on the menus and cerem ..read more

I’ve been designing wedding invitations for over ten years and yes, I do get a lot of the same questions. But, this is (probably) the first wedding you’ve planned. Because of that, I do get a lot of the same questions.
I have compiled a list of the Top 10 questions I get about wedding invitations and made a blog series about it. So check out questions number ten through eight that I receive.
10. I’m not inviting everyone to the ceremony. How do I do that?
If you’re doing a smaller ceremony with just family and close friends, and then inviting more to the reception, we create two versions of yo ..read more

Some things are meant to be. I mean, wedding ceremony at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church + reception at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo’s newest wedding venue + amazing couple with beautiful invitations. It’s what wedding dreams are made of.
And “meant to be” not only applies to Michelle & Ben (who obviously were made for each other), but with their wedding invites. Because the most beautiful part of this pocket wedding invitation package was something we didn’t plan for at first.

“What about Rehearsal Dinner invitations?”
Maybe that question has popped into your head or has been presented to you from a family member. It’s something that is probably not on your radar. I mean, you’ve found an amazing designer to do your wedding invitations (*cough cough*) but the rehearsal dinner hasn’t crossed your mind. And do you do those? Is the groom’s family in charge of those? Are they sent with the invitations?
So many questions.
Hopefully I can help. Like all invitations in general, there are traditional ways to do things and the alternate route of not following tradition (which ..read more

Sarah & Tyler’s Omaha wedding at St. John’s and Happy Hollow Club were what wedding dreams are made of. Their beautiful design for their wedding invitations was nothing short of amazing. And the thing is…they were a semi-custom design paired with upgrades.
Her semi-custom design was based on Sarah & Kevin’s wedding from a few years ago. This invitation was gorgeous from the start, but Sarah and Tyler put their own touch on it. For starters, we used a panel pocket, meaning on the back of the invitation is a pocket for the details card and RSVP to be tucked into. This makes one solid pi ..read more
