About a month ago, for some reason I was having a really great lucky streak and amongst other things, actually ended up winning a £200 voucher for a beauty site of my choice in a raffle. As I’m sure you can imagine, I was super, super excited, and after a lot of deliberation, I chose Beauty Bay as the site, and then spent days pondering over what I wanted to pick up. I’m really happy with the bits I ordered, and wanted to share the products I chose with you guys, so if you’re nosey like me, or if you’ve ever wanted to know what a £200 Beauty Bay Haul looks like, keep reading… Zoeva ..read more

Caudalie are a French brand that I was first introduced to by Birchbox quite a few years ago now, and have loved ever since. I’m a big fan of every product I’ve tried from them, and I love the brands many environmental friendly ethos’ and natural ingredients. My standout product from the brand and one I’ve featured many times on this blog is their ‘Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser’ – my favourite tinted moisturiser I own, a product I reach for all the time and one I will forever repurchase. Today I’ve got two products that are new to me, from Caudalie to talk to you about ..read more

Testing Eylure Brow Products
emilyloula

In the last few years, brow products have really taken the makeup industry by storm. I am a firm believer that your eyebrows completely frame your face, so when I’m putting on makeup, my brows are now my first point of call. Over time I’ve used and loved more Eylure products than I could count; even my first pair of lashes were from the brand, however something I’ve never dabbled into, is their brow products, but that all changed very recently… For the last few years I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted on a regular basis. Only recently I began questioning why I’ve been paying aroun ..read more

Primark’s Private Collection – Jo Malone Dupes?

Back in August, I was browsing around my local Primark, when out the corner of my eye, I could of sworn I spotted Jo Malone fragrances amongst all the makeup stands. I posted the picture on Twitter, as I hadn’t seen this line before and everyone seem to go a little crazy, including the Daily Mail who posted it in their article here After testing out the fragrances I realised that not only did the packaging look almost identical to Jo Malone – they smelt pretty similar too. The type of fragrances in Primark’s ‘The Private Collection’ are those that you would tend to find within a boutique Jo M ..read more

So I’m back with my another beauty related post since I disappeared, and oh it does feel good! I’ve missed rambling on about makeup and planning out flatlays with lipsticks in the corner of my lounge – I’m just so pleased to be back and to have some motivation! If you’re wondering where I got to, this post will hopefully give you a bit of an insight… I started up ‘A Few Of My Favourite Things‘ before my brief hiatus and it’s something that I really enjoyed writing back then and would love to continue, so I thought what better beauty post to start with that this one. So let’s jump back int ..read more

A few weeks back, Jordan and I headed up to Worcestershire to spend a couple of days at The Malvern Spa and Hotel to celebrate my birthday. I knew that I wanted to share it all with you guys, but wouldn’t be able to do this amazing place justice with just words, so be warned, this post is rather photo heavy… The Malvern Hotel After a nice drive around the beautiful countryside, we arrived at The Malvern at around 3PM. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who gave us a tour of the hotel, spa, gym and restaurant and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. We booked in f ..read more

3 Of My New Favourite Foundations

Other than lip products, foundations are definitely my favourite makeup products to buy. I feel like I’m always testing out new foundations, and comparing those to the many that I already own, in the hope of finding ‘the one’, the holy grail foundation I’m sure we are all after. During my search I’ve come across these three foundations, which aren’t necessarily new to the market, but they have found a new place in my heart so I wanted to share them with you guys! NARS | Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30 > £30  Lucky for me, but unlucky for my bank balance, I work less than a 5 minute wal ..read more

I Fell Out Of Love With Blogging

I’ve been wanting to write and publish this post for a long time now but life has gotten in the way so many times and it’s been pushed back again and again. I’ve really wanted to spend hours getting that perfect flat lay, rounding up all the products I’m so excited to talk about and penning all my thoughts down onto this blog for you guys. I’ve wanted to boost my Instagram engagement (haven’t we all?!), natter away with you all on nightly twitter chats and get that sense of community back that I’ve really missed. I’ve honestly missed it all and I’ve wanted to come back so many times this year ..read more

3 Festival Hairstyles with ghd

If you follow me on Twitter you may have heard me moaning recently about not being at Reading Festival this weekend. The fact it’s almost on my doorstep (I can post on the Snapchat Geolocator story thing from my house..) and I’ve had some of the best memories there over the past 6 years makes me truly upset not to be there this year. Festivals are one of my favourite places to be, and over the years I’ve been to quite a lot, seeing hundreds of artists, and having the time of my life. I would personally consider myself quite an experienced festival go-er, so when ghd got in contact asking if I ..read more
