One of the main highlights of our Death Valley Rally Road Trip (read full post here) was our unforgettable sunrise experience at Zabriskie Point, combined with the 7-mile trek along the Golden Canyon and Gower Gulch Loop in Death Valley National Park. The beautiful striations of browns, yellows, pastel greens and pink watercolor hues that make up these rocks are so incredibly unique, unlike anything we had ever seen anywhere else in the world. Nature’s oven is what it felt like, and an incredible multi-tiered cake with numerous layers of frosted colors is what it looked like! The tower ..read more

The Death VALLEY RALLY: HOLD ON TIGHT!
Mr and Mrs Adventure

Summer of 21’ was really unpredictable. We were originally going to drive to Alaska in our van, but that didn’t pan out since the US-Canada border didn’t open until August. And then there were the permits we scored back in March to hike the entire JMT (John Muir Trail) starting on Labor Day. This hike is named as one of North America’s most stunning and enchanting hikes, winding along the ridges of the Sierra Nevada mountains, 220 miles from Yosemite to Mt Whitney, the tallest peak in the continental USA. Well, guess what? That didn’t happen either, since wildfire season closed all Cal ..read more

Time has really flown by! You might have wondered what happened to us if you’ve only been following this blog of ours. After all, for 5 years it was our #1 outlet where we shared weekly posts of our travels to help guide and inspire others to take action and go on adventures of their own! THIS is what our original (Wordpress) website looked like: Returning from Europe at the end of summer of 2018 from our, “2.5 year honeymoon on wheels,” opened our eyes to the world of vlogging (video logs) on YouTube. So we decided to shift away from the blog, and focus our time and efforts on learni ..read more

After returning from our 2.5 year van life Europe + North Africa honeymoon on wheels, for the past six months, Drew and I have been meticulously building out our 5th van home and 1st ever conversion. You can watch our LEGENDARY Van Build Series, documenting the weekly transformation here! After living in a number of different layouts and being completely inspired by the repurposing and creativity of the seasoned vanlifers we met in Europe, we sort of knew exactly what we wanted, but had no idea that what we would create would turn out to be SO beautiful. Before starting this build, a ..read more

12 Ways We’re Upgrading Our Vanlife!
Mr and Mrs Adventure

It has been so long since our last blog post, the reason being that, for the past 6 months, Drew and I have been working full-time on our first ever van conversion! We found our new van, “Spirit,” short for “Spirit of The Howeller,” named in honor of our European honeymoon van, "The Howlin' Yoweller" (you can learn more about that 2.5 year journey here), used on Craigslist just weeks after returning from Europe. If you've read our story in the Huffington Post, then you already know that, even though we weren't 100% sure if we wanted to continue with life on the road, it was a deal we j ..read more

Q & A: After 4 Years of VanLife, WHAT'S NEXT?!
Mr and Mrs Adventure

It’s crazy how quickly life can change. How you can go from one land to another and reality totally shifts. It’s crazy how you can return to a place as a different person, with new life experiences, new insights, new values, yet everything else has remained exactly the same. We are changed people. Nothing feels the same anymore. Our desires have been reshaped by life on the road and our stories made richer through experience. We’ve been EXPOSED. Ripped open by the world, stunned by its natural beauty and awakened to its pain. We have been disconnected from US c ..read more

Morocco things to know Before You Go, vanlife morocco, morocco travel tips After returning to England from Florida three days after Christmas (brr!), we reunited with the Howlin’ Yoweller (our van home), who had been awaiting our return for three whole months at Gatwick long-stay parking (just £50/month)! We had to leave him behind and return to the US for a few reasons, the most pressing being our Schengen Visas. Mentioned in #10 of our post on VanLife Europe vs. VanLife in the US, as Americans we are limited to 90 days in the Schengen countries out of a ..read more
