Hi guys, Looking for some help as I am absolutely desperate for a solution. I flew Hawaiian Airlines a month ago and my bag was checked to my final destination, Honolulu. They accidentally misplaced my bag and had to send it out on the next earliest flight which wasn’t until the next day because I was on the last flight of the night. I wasn’t too concerned though because they informed me that they would deliver my bag to my address. It has been a month now and I literally cannot get a hold of a single person that will help me. I have called every single department and without fail I am told t ..read more

Bike fee on Avianca route from Europe to Colombia

Hello, I am a bit confused about the price I am going to pay for transporting my bike with Avianca from Europe to Colombia. I see 80 USD on their website for bike transport, fine, but then one of their conditions says: If you check your equipment as additional baggage, a charge for sports equipment applies subject to space availability. I would be taking an M ticket which has one checked-in piece of luggage included, and I am going to use it for my panniers and so on, so what does this mean for me? Will I just need to pay 80 USD? Or will I have to pay for my bike as a second piece of luggag ..read more

Inside US, Saudia Airlines won't allow me to buy tickets online with Amex, Visa or PayPal

Has anyone else had this experience? I just get a generic error message. Everything is correct. Their website is very good except for rejecting a perfectly valid order over the course of a week. I called their support number. The representative told me I have to go to one of their offices, only open M-F, 9-5. Was not helpful at all. I was polite, not rude. My answer to them is NO, I will not go to their office. This makes me question everything else about the airline. I purchased my tickets with a different airline and will exclude Saudia from any future searches. submitted by /u/DocSavageWV ..read more

Airline Charges Me Extra 2.5 Weeks Later?

I flew with Panama-based Copa airlines on May 23rd (2.5 weeks ago) and purchased a ticket on their website through the normal process, very standard. I get an email today that they “forgot” to charge me taxes and fees and will charge me again - just checked my credit card and there is a new $77 USD Copa charge (initial one way from Bogota to Rio was $460 USD). It’s a bit hard to interpret the different costs on my confirmation email because I was in Colombia at the time so the charge is in Colombian pesos and my bank had a different exchange rate than the current rate. But anyway is this ..read more

Hi, I was on a flight to Prague and a guy kicked off, not sure why but alcohol was 100% involved, he had to be restrained over prague airspace after being verbally abusive to staff and walking around when the seatbelt sign was on and we got priority landing in Prague where the police met him and escorted him off. I an just wondering, what is likely to happen to the chap. Will he be fined? Refused entry? Return flight cancelled and banned etc? submitted by /u/themorganator4 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Will be flying from California (SFO) to London around this time next year, hoping someone can give insight into which would be the better airline between American Airlines and Finnair, especially when it comes to comfort as it’s a very long flight. As I'm sure most of you now know, reddit has announced some major changes to their API policy, which effectively shuts down third party apps. Apollo, Sync (which I use exclusively to mod this sub), and many others will be shuttering if the new policy doesn't change. This post explains it better than I could, so I won't turn this into a long-winded post. We are a small sub, but every bit counts. I do not know when I'll bring the sub back online again. We'll have to wait and see what happens. I sincerely hope that reddit changes their policies. submitted by /u/dlh412pt [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
