Yesterday I was running around playing laser tag outside with my family. I hid behind a tree and waited to shoot my son as he was running by. Then this small burst of sadness came over me. Where did that come from? I didn’t have time to process it. I shot my son and started running again.  We laughed and had a grand time, but I couldn’t shake that subtle sadness. After we put the kids to bed I sat on the couch and stretched out my legs on the coffee table. I leaned my head back and it hit me. I felt sad because I realized that my inner bully came out while playing laser tag. I was beating ..read more

“You can’t talk about my co-worker like that!” “Like what?” “You can’t put him down like that. He is just as valuable and capable as me.” “Wait! What?” I felt gut punched. I didn’t understand, but my co-worker was calling me out because he thought I was talking about another teammate. I wasn’t, though. I was putting myself down when I praised him. I wasn’t able to remember little details like he could and I pointed this out in a team meeting. He saw this as an attack on our co-worker. He thought I was putting his friend down. Calling him stupid. I was calling myself stupid, which isn’t much be ..read more

It’s why I enjoy interviewing other people. There is something special about two people trying to help each other create great content together. 1:25 - How the focus on gratitude changed my life. 2:41 - How the third try at keeping a gratitude journal finally st ..read more

One of my favorite parts about doing a Dig to Fly session is the “Aha” that comes at the end. It’s this moment that helps us understand how lucky we are to work through our struggles. Our struggles are opportunities if we can cultivate a growth mindset. This was no different for Michelle. She was stuck on how she was dealing with our restricted lifestyles due to Covid-19. It was in this restriction that caused her a lot of pain. We dug into her struggle and she came away with some really great insights. I’m sharing this session because I want you to see the power of the Dig to Fly Method. It h ..read more
