When she’s not flying, Envoy First Officer Erica Swenson can be found volunteering with the PreFlight Aviation Camp. Erica first got involved with the camp in 2019 as its mission aligned with her desire to inspire future aviators. Since then, she has continued to volunteer to help support the camp and raise scholarship funds. Hurricanes Fiona and Ian have devastated many of the communities in the southeast United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In Fort Myers, Florida, Envoy held a food distribution event to assist employees who were without water and electricity following Ian’s landfall. Up the road in Sarasota, American employees delivered an assortment of snacks and shelf-stable food for colleagues and their families to grab and go as needed.
