did nosework with the dude for the first time in literal ages. probably chose a terrible day to see how much he needed brushing up, as the wind blew consistently to the north. the scent became trapped in the corner of the yard (seen in the background), so he spent a lot of time in that area. but! he did find the scent 5/5 times! even the one where i placed it a little Too High in the tree.
i’ve learned to always stop while i’m ahead with him, otherwise we will start having false hits and he becomes more inclined to indicate on the wrong targets in the future. his last hide was ..read more
