Despite testing and re-testing, I kept coming up negative for Covid, I was vaxxed for RSV and pneumonia, so I guess this was just a nasty bug with it's eyes on me and my husband.
Anyway, while I sat soaking in a hot bathtub, the only thing that reall ..read more

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary".... Poe's famous poem, "The Raven". Ahh...so many of us love that poem, each for our own individual reasons. I find inspirations like this often make their way into what I craft......
I love it because it marked a turning point for me. I was a freshman in high school and terribly, painfully, almost cripplingly shy. To attempt to overcome my shyness, I signed up for a Drama class. One of the first assignments was to memorize a poem to recite to the whole class. For me, this was a challenge like you cannot believe! A Poe fanatic fro ..read more

Yes, even here in California, it's bitterly cold! I live just 45 minutes from local mountains that are getting snow as I type this.
Most of you found me originally for SOAP. I also love to handcraft with yarn and handspun fiber, ...have since childhood. I grew up with a circle of womenfolk who all knitted, crocheted, embroidered, and quilted, and was lucky enough to be taught these lovely crafts! The Etsy shoppe where I offer my fiber crafts is HERE!
Just added is this hand-knit super-soft winter woolen hood in oatmeal-colored yarn, with a real wood rustic button! I don't know about you, but m ..read more
