This post isn’t sponsored per se but it is my product (hooray!) so I’m putting AD here just in case as this naturally makes me biased but also, why wouldn’t I want to tell you about something I’m super proud of?! Use code ECOBOOST5 to get 5% off your order. Well hello there! How are you? I’ve recently been feeling a strong pull to start writing here again after taking a couple of (unplanned) years off. Who Gives A Crap – the best toilet paper EVER! Here’s why…

This post is kindly sponsored by Who Gives A Crap, a brand I have been a fan of for a while now. I was delighted when they asked me to review their recycled toilet paper. As always, I only work with brands I genuinely love and want to share. All words and opinions are my own. I’m the kinda girl who judges loo roll by it’s cover. And here’s why… All too often, toilet paper brands are desperate to tell me what’s inside their product. How it’s made of recycled content or forest friendly materials. What their CO2 emissions are throughout production and how I am helping to save the planet wit ..read more

This is a sponsored post. As always, I only feature brands and products I genuinely love and believe you will too. Any affiliate links are marked with * Well hello there! It’s been a minute/two years since I last wrote anything on here. How are ya?   My news? Well, we now live in Cornwall (thank you Lockdown 1.0 for making us realise just how much we needed to try a new pace of life away from London), I have also written and published a book (more on that in another post, or you can buy a copy here*) and…we have a baby, well more of a toddler now who is ..read more

Alongside talks, panel discussion and workshops the aim was (and still is!) to encourage mindful shopping in the lead up to festive period.  Displayed on the beautiful wooden ..read more

My Bedtime Routine

This post is kindly sponsored by Brush With Bamboo – as always I only work with brands I truly love and think you will too and all opinions are my own. Affiliate links marked with * throughout. Bedtime doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m an “owl”. My mind comes alive between the hours of 10pm and 2am so when I have any work to do then I’m likely to stay up and do a late one instead of trying to work slowly through the day. I’ve fought it for years, but after reading this reassuring article, sent to me by my husband, I’m finally understanding it’s simply my circadian rhythm that dictates my slee ..read more

I Designed Some Organic, Low-Waste & Closed Loop T-Shirts!

I love a good t-shirt, as they’re easy to wear and super versatile. And frankly, they don’t come as good as Rapanui – an ethical and sustainable t-shirt company who are based on the Isle of Wight, UK,  in their solar powered factory. I’ve been following them for a while, geeking out about their low-waste printing process, their closed loop take-back scheme, the fact that they use GOTS certified organic cotton for all of their products and that each piece is made to order, so no surplus lying around waiting to be sold. And then an email popped into my inbox, from Rapanui, asking if I’d li ..read more

(This is a sponsored post and contains affiliate links throughout) Five years ago, it was virtually impossible (for me!) to find reusable cloth bags sold anywhere… except Etsy. And our love affair has been going strong ever since. It’s now my number one “go-to” to discover everything from zero waste makeup and personal care products to reusable homewares and even eco-friendly Christmas decorations! So I was thrilled when Etsy UK asked me to help launch their new Sustainable Summer Collection – #SSCollection – Etsy’s first eco-friendly product range made up of talented UK sellers who all take ..read more

Stale Bread Never Tasted So Good!
Eco Boost
by Kate Arnell

We eat a lot of bread. Mostly organic sourdough with minimal ingredients, freshly baked from a local bakery (not the supermarket!) and yep, you guessed it…. packed straight into a reusable cloth bag, no packaging required!   But I’ll admit, despite our love of loaves, we seem to end up with a large collection of stale “ends” of bread. Due of the shape of most of the bread we buy being oval, the ends are too often cut off and, if not eaten immediately, tend to get forgotten about in the bread bin. I know… pretty wasteful for a zero waster, right?     Until recently I had simply ..read more

Zero Waste Water Filter

I have written about how I filter my tap water before…. but that post has fallen into the dusty archives of this blog, unlikely to be seen by many (especially as the search bar seems to have stopped working – must fix!), so I thought it would be worth sharing again. If you live in London, then you’ll know that the tap water (or Thames’ Finest as I like to call it!) has a distinct flatness to it with a delicate tang of chlorine. Mmmmmmmm. Not wanting to purchase a Brita water filter (plastic!), or bottled water (more plastic!), four years ago, when I started moving towards a zero waste lifesty ..read more
