Why do some people see the ally flag as offensive? TW: some bigotry

I'm seeing people on TikTok say stuff like the ally flag is just performative and it's transphobic. They also claim it's homophobic because they say the flag was taken from homophobes and had a rainbow 'A' put on it. If that's true, then why can't the flag be considered something like reclaimed? It's not like you would see a homophobe flying it. Some people were saying that allies aren't members of the community, they don't deserve their own flag, and it's just their way of saying, "they're ok, but I'm not one of them," in a very negative way. Can someone please explain all this divisiveness ..read more

Low effort meetup

So I have been trying to explore my attraction to women for awhile. Preferably hooking up. I'm already partnered and don't really want anything serious. But hooking up with women is a STRUGGLE. I've seen posts in here that can relate. And I'm finally looking to meetup with this girl and she's so... dry in her communication. How much effort should be put into a hookup? On one hand I really am extremely horny and want to try. But it's not going to be enjoyable if I'm the only one caring. I don't need a love interest just someone that's at least mildly excited. Should I just go and hope for the ..read more

I’ve only thought I’m bi for a few days and that doesn’t feel like enough time to actually say that I am. Im having these thoughts of “what if you’re just doing this for attention? What if you’re actually just straight and want to be special…” I don’t think this about bi people, ever, my bf is bi and I love him to bits, so I hate that I feel it about me. I’m assuming this is normal but just wondering. submitted by /u/bbgrapee [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

When I was dating just looking for females I had such a a hard time getting anywhere. But looking for guys I'm super popular and apparently really do look more femme presenting than male. It's given me such a confidence boost on my looks! submitted by /u/sissylilly8990 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Confused - am I just gay?

I’m female; I’ve only dated men in the past, but I’ve never felt sexually attracted to them unless they look more feminine. I’ve never dated a woman but the more I get involved with sapphic communities, the more I question myself. I always found women more attractive, sexually as well. I’ve been identifying as bisexual for a while, but I’m still confused. The issue is that I love a guy romantically, a lot, but I don’t have sexual attraction to men. I don’t know… I need some kind of advice. I don’t know if I can like men romantically but also like women romantically and sexually? Or am I just ..read more

17M When I was a kid people used to question me if I'm gay and I usually say no, even my classmates used to teased me about it, and as I grew older I began to question it. Throughout the years I started to believe them. submitted by /u/JoeGoldberg2423 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I've been alone with my bisexuality for like 8 years now. I had really no other to talk to who expericed the same that I did. I had some lgbt+ friends but no one who was bisexual too. It warms my heart, even if I joined here just a short time ago, it seems that words that I speak seem to matter to someone else. Also I find here the support and answer to my questions about myself that I have always thought and got no answer. I hope someday I will find people around me, close people who can someday talk about it in person. Before that I can rely on this community, it feels really good. Thank yo ..read more
