One report today has suggested that the future of Mauricio Pochettino will rest on one key thing for the rest of this season with the Blues head coach under huge amounts of pressure now.
Most Chelsea fans want him sacked, many wanted him gone months ago, and any who don’t want him sacked yet, are still pretty keen to see him gone at the end of the season. It’s important to say that not all Chelsea fans want him sacked though, but it is certainly the majority that do.

Simon Jordan has got so deep into defending Chelsea’s ownership that he was really left high and dry by the battering the Blues took on Tuesday night.
This meant on TalkSport he had to make excuses for the game, and had Danny Murphy on his side to do so. They both pointed to the improved results and performances of the last few months, and dismissed the result againts Arsenal as basically “just what happens against a top team.”
“Not ideal,” Murphy called it in what might be the understatement of the season.
In his usual patronising manner, Jordan decided to explain to fans who watch every game ..read more

This season is only just reaching its climax, yet there’s already a huge amount of looking forward to next season being done all over the place. There’s nowhere that’s more true than at Chelsea, where transfers and even our next coach have yet to be decided.
It is indeed a strange time of year – there are still games to play, and much is yet to be decided on the pitch, but at the same time there’s a great urge to look forward and get a jump on our rivals this summer.
This goes for managers as well as players – teams are all getting in to gear to try and secure the best coaches for next summer ..read more

Following rumours which really fired up late last night, Enzo Fernandez has got surgery on his groin issue and posted a picture from his hospital bed showing him smiling, post-op.
We can only assume everything went well.
This ends his club season, but means he should be fit to play for Argentina in the Copa America this summer.

Chelsea were back in training today following a day off to lick their wounds after the heavy defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday night.
There were three things that picked up on from the Blues’ session back at Cobham.
Firstly, and most importantly, the players who were present at the session. That included Reece James, Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer, all of whom have been out with injuries of varying severity.
We don’t expect James to be back for some time, given how long he’s out, but training now gives him a chance to see the pitch before the end of the season.
Colwill has been out for a bit, and wil ..read more

Football Insider have dropped an exclusive about Conor Gallagher’s future which claims that a move to Tottenham Hotspur is back on for this summer.
Pete O’Rourke describes Spurs as “well-placed” to sign the midfielder this summer, despite Gallagher having turned them down last summer. He is now “ready to move away from Stamford Bridge,” having quite clearly seen that selling him is the priority of those at the top of the hierarchy.
There has been a “halt” in talks between the regular captain in the club over a new contract, while Newcastle have fallen away in the race to sign him due to financ ..read more

John Terry was on Simon Jordan’s podcast this week, and some interesting stories have come out of it.
One anecdote Terry related was to do with the arrival of Andre Villas-Boas, then a very young coach trying to stamp his authority on the squad. It didn’t go well.
There was a whole incident involving young players in first class and first team starts in economy. It’s not clear if this was a planned inversion by the new coach or just an accident, but as you can imagine it didn’t go down well.
“He tried to make a statement day one and failed instantly,” Terry insisted. This was only the start of ..read more

Our writer Simon Phillips’ Substack has a couple of really nice juicy exclusives that have just dropped on this Thursday afternoon to keep us all interested.
One that jumps out at us is his report which cites two sources in informing him that the club have ended up their “U25 rule” which was dictating so much of our transfer policy.
The Blues have the youngest squad in the league, but Phillips expects this to be “balanced out” in the summer.
One of his sources actually reports that the U25 rule was only for the initial wave of signings, and actually hasn’t been in place since last summer – we ..read more

Mauricio Pochettino has come in for a lot of criticism this season following another disappointing campaign with the Blue’s ninth in the table, with six games remaining.
Chelsea’s campaign has been littered with inconsistencies, which is to be expected given all the young players the club have signed over the last two windows.
Despite difficult circumstances, Pochettino hasn’t done enough with the tools at his disposal, but the Argentine isn’t the only or main problem at the club.
The recruitment strategy simply hasn’t worked so far, and those responsible for implementing the policy seriously ..read more
