Another mock draft, another Brock Bowers
Often, mock drafts are a best guess. People read/make scouting reports, look at team needs, account for the publicly available leaks, and then go from there.
But just because that’s usually the case doesn’t mean it’s always the case. This week, Peter Schrager of NFL Network released a mock draft that was built on a different premise, which is what he’s hearing based on his higher level connections. As he wrote in that piece, “REMINDER: As always, this isn’t what I would do — it’s what I’m hearing from my sources around the ..read more

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets
Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager released his first mock draft yesterday, and he slotted a big playmaker to the New York Jets in the first round - Georgia tight end Brock Bowers. This is important to note, because Schrager has been incredibly accurate in his mock drafts - especially when it comes to the Jets. While personally I believe the Jets should be drafting a wide receiver or an offensive lineman instead, Bowers could potentially be a game-wrecker at ..read more

Let us know what you think
As we all know, it’s NFL draft season, which is always a time of hope for NFL fans as they pray their teams will make the right moves to ensure future success. Maybe no franchise has pinned its hopes more on a single draft than the New York Jets this year. The Jets may feel that if they can add a couple of players who can make a difference they can ride off into the sunset holding a Lombardi Trophy high in New Orleans late in the night of February 9th 2025. They may be right, they may be wrong, but either way, that’s their goal.

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets
Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Yesterday the New York Jets officially revealed their ‘legacy’ jerseys, which are meant to be a throwback and ode to the Jets’ Sack Exchange that dominated the eighties. With it, the team also revealed multiple secondary logos. As fate would have it, the jerseys were announced on the same day that quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to One Jets Drive, and elite tight end prospect Brock Bowers also made his ..read more

The annual NFL draft selection choice
With the NFL draft right around the corner I felt it would be nice to see who the great Jets fans at Gang Green Nation wanted the team to select. There are a myriad of possibilities so let’s see what the collective group here wants the Jets to do.
I will start by taking out all the players who probably won’t be available by pick #10. I also will not make a selection that includes trading up in the draft. Although I can see how those thinking about the Jets future might be interested in doing so, the Jets don’t have the draft capi ..read more

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets
Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Shout out to Mr. Wells for holding down the fort over the weekend as usual. There aren’t many links in today’s FC - as most of you are aware the cycle to start the week is typically slow. However, we did get a chance to see New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking another step in his Achilles recovery. Over the weekend Rodgers was spotted doing staircase training for his endurance - as well as allowing his heel to get ..read more

As draft day nears the Jets’ first round pick options come into focus
ESPN recently released their draft simulator which is meant to project the likelihood in which players are taken with specific picks. Per ESPN’s release, “The model uses expert mock drafts, Scouts Inc. grades and team needs to estimate the chance every prospect is taken at each pick. Chances are then calculated based on recent historical accuracy of the combination of the above info, including the chance of a trade.”
One of the features of the model is that you can see who the likely players are ..read more
