This post is the end of the planned series focusing on the AI revolution and its relevance for people living with energy impairment, see further explanation at the end of this post. I’m also creating audio versions of these posts. For this post I’ve split the audio into sections and unusually it doesn’t exactly match the written content.

If you prefer to listen there’s an audio version here or above. By the way I’ve also just added an audio version of a previous post on deep fakes and chronic illness here. Next Monday you can meet the new energy limiting chronic illness advocacy bot I’ve created to help us.
As fans of the hit show “Westworld” know, the idea of robots achieving sentience and challenging the power dynamics of society is a tantalizing concept (that’s the opinion of my robot Co-author ChatGPT by the way ). For non-robot individuals like me living with energy limiting chronic illness, the idea of using artificial i ..read more

This blog seems to have evolved into just being chronic illness tips for Christmas, which hasn’t been intentional.
Why Cut Carb recipes?
Recently I’ve been on the keto diet and being in ketosis is helping me enough that I don’t want to take a break for Christmas. I do intend to write more about my experiences of ketosis at some point, but I don’t want to write about that prematurely.

This post is an update on last year’s Advent and Christmastide resources for celebrating the essence of the festivities from home. I know many people will still be home based for Christmas 2021, whether that’s due to energy limiting chronic illness (ELCI), shielding, lockdown or other reasons.

[skip to headings below for title relevant content if TLDR]
Lunchtime on the 16th March I developed a severe sore throat. I worried that it might be the dreaded COVID-19. Back then it didn’t seem like coronavirus had really got to Scotland and anyway didn’t it start with a cough and a raging fever? I thought I was being alarmist.
Within 48 hours I was persistently coughing with a bad, dry viral cough. I was sweating through several sets of pyjamas. My body didn’t mount a high fever though.
At that time you were only tested when you went into hospital. By day 6 my partner packed a hospital bag ..read more

This is a non-post post to say that for ME Awareness Day this year I’m not writing a long essay explaining what you need to know. I’m resting after (presumed) coronavirus and demonstrating the need to listen to what your body says you need to not do.
Unfortunately we are expecting a surge of new ME patients triggered by COVID-19. I hope #MillionsMissing 2020 convinces people that convalescence and rest is important.
This is the #MEAction UK video
Please contribute in some way to the entirely virtual #MillionsMissing event (see this toolkit ) even if it’s just one retweet or share. Interacting ..read more
