The time of year to be thankful for all of our blessings is upon us again and I have so much to be thankful for. The dividend investing community continues to provide incredible inspiration almost every day as I strive toward my own goals. Thanks to everyone! Roth IRA Nice increase from last year as I added to a couple of holdings, solely with my dividend earnings. I have not added principal to my Roth IRA all year, so it is super exciting to see that type of growth. 12-month dividends for this account are now $2,729.55 after ending last month at $2,701.10. The first month of each quarter is usually the smallest out of the bunch, but I have found some purchases over the last year or so to help ramp up the dividends. I don’t actively try to smooth out my dividends, but when I can it’s not a bad thing. Roth IRA My GE holding still is getting me pretty good here. It’s a testament to diversification as even the biggest, baddest companies can find themselves on tough times. Hopefully they find a way back to normalcy. 12-month dividends for this account are now $2,701.10 after ending last month at $2,592.71. I made a couple purchases with some dividen ..read more

Last month of the quarter, the favorite of most dividend income investors. Most companies pay during the period and that means the most income! As it stands, this is still true for me, so a big month is in the books. Time to look into the results. Roth IRA Steady climb across the portfolio as almost all holdings are up since last year. Biggest increase coming from Wells Fargo and an increase in my Ford investment. 12% is nice increase for an account that I do not add capital to, merely selectively investing my dividends. 12-month dividends for this account are now $2,592.71 after ending last ..read more

As life gets busy, this site hobby takes a back seat! So here I am updating my August activity in October. This year keeps marching on and so does our bull market. I’ve been holding back on many purchases hoarding some cash and getting ready for any sort of pullback that surfaces. Onto the dividends! Roth IRA Can see additions to my AT&T and Abbvie holdings in this account since 2018. Leading me toward a 23.8% increase in my income. 12-month dividends for this account are now $2,577.41 after ending last month at $2,588.66. Nothing crazy here, just small adjustment to how I forecast my div ..read more

Little bit late reporting in on my July dividend income, but it doesn’t mean there weren’t some great results. At time of writing this we are experiencing a very turbulent market so it’s possible some great buy opportunities will soon be presenting themselves. Roth IRA Down year over year? Well that’s not great, but the charge is mostly led by GE, which continues to be in the news for negative reasons. Everything else is positive for the Roth. 12-month dividends for this account are now $2,588.66 after ending last month at $2,504.62. Nice little bump here as I increased by ABBV position.
