Hi! I just got accepted to nursing school in California and plan to get my NP and PhD after where I plan to research stem cells and open a practice eventually in the field. The thing is, I don’t know how to learn about the field or get my foot in the door. I tried emailing some stem cell experts in my area (Joy Kong, Mark Ghalili) to get an internship but neither bothered replying. I don’t know what to do tbh. I’m taking a coursera course right now and a stem cell therapeutics online course at Stanford this summer but learning about it isn’t the same as getting hands on experience. If anyone ..read more

My dad was just diagnosed with ALS. I'd like to explore the idea of stem cells for him. In my research so far, it appears that the type of stems cells they use in Mexico administered via the lumbar region of his spine could possibly slow the disease and vastly extend his life. Is this accurate? What other info do I need? Is there any other treatment I should look into? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!!

I am thinking about banking my cordblood and I have a couple of questions if someone can shed light!
Would I be able to use these stem cells for myself, specifically for things like a stem cell transplant for something like Hodgkin’s lymphoma? What about my husband?
How likely is it that I could even dip in to these cells for medical treatment? What are the benefits of this vs getting stem cells from a bank?
Anything else I should know?
Thanks in advance!!!

Perhaps there is someone in this group who struggles with the same conditions I have and can help..
I suffer from chronic headaches due to a car accident 14 years ago. They aren't migraines I have tried everything from chiropractic, prolotherapy, stem cels here in the US (did nothing) , I have seen doctor after doctor and cannot seem to find relief - the cause is from instability in C1 and C2 - once I am out of alignment the headaches start.. They are quite painful and lead to brain fog and fatigue..
Has anyone had success with this treatment for conditions similar to mine?
Thank you

Hi all I’m 34 years and 1 year ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. My GFR sits around 58 right now.
I’ve seen some really promising studies regarding Wharton’s Jelly Stem Cell treatment.
I’m curious has anyone done Stem Cell treatment for Kidney function and was it a success?

Does anyone know or can share a study about the maximum effective dosage needed for optimal results ?
Why would some clinics recommend 140 or 350 or even 1 billion ?
Is it case specific ? Or just a way to add to the bill?
Thank you

I am researching on stem cell industry and came across this company in MA. who claims to do stem cell therapy under FDA allowed policies. To my knowledge any kind of Stem cell therapy is not legal in US. This company has youtube video posted in 2018 but has comment section off. How are they flying under FDA radar?
