Back in June this year I had the pleasure of photographing Geraldine from GEGE Movement.  Geraldine is a Yoga/Pilates instructor and also a dancer and performer often working away on cruise ships. Otherwise, a bundle of energy and a wonderful person to work with. I originally met Geraldine during a client’s 121 training session a few years back and I have been looking forward to catching up and shooting since. I have had the pleasure of knowing Emma for several years.  Emma has modelled at my workshops, and we have spent hours in the studio creating images. Over the last few years, she has move in to acting work in the form of TV extra work, stage and short films. I recently had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Gwyneth at my Stockport based studio, what a blast it was. Gwyneth came into the studio for some updated head shots for social media and here agency Destiny Talent.  We spent the shoot talking about life, work and dream roles Gwyneth would like to play. Joe contacted me looking for new business head shots having just left a career in the military. The brief was to provide clean professional head shots for use on social media, websites and internal business content. After talking about his past career, family, and life we got to shooting. This talking and getting to know carries on throughout the head shot session which I find helps relax the client and move the session forwards. A few weeks back Actor Clara James paid a visit to the studio for some updated head shots and portraits. It was great to finally meet her and of course shoot new headshots and portraits for her actor portfolio. For headshot sessions I always start with a chat and getting to know session, we discuss looks, outfits and the results wanted before heading on set and starting to shoot the first few frames. Sometimes the first 10 mins of shooting is the warmup and other times we just jump straight in. Clara was at home in front of the lens and a joy to shoot. Gavin got in touch for some updated actor head shots. These would be used on social media and sent to agents for castings. I have to say Gavin was extremely comfortable in front of the camera and made it a breeze for me. You would think that an actor would be camera comfortable right? Sure on a set with video camera but it’s a different game/pace for stills and it take a little bit of a different approach. Gavin had no problem adjusting to stills.
