It's been said many times that we could benefit from setting up trade schools, like in Germany (aka 'berufsschule'), instead of ineffective apprenticeship model we currently have.
In the old dead beast of the soviet union there was a similar system to the German one. Kids who wanted to go into trades would leave regular school after completing the equivalent of junior cert and enroll into a professional school. There for 3 years they learned the trade (labs mixed with supervised experience in a factory/construction site etc) as well as being taught the leaving cert curriculum. At the end they ..read more

But of disappointing news about our new national park here. Going to be fairly hard to actually restore nature like they said while they’re letting farmers and their sheep continue to strip it away. No word of incentives to deter it either.

Let's say one was a director of an Irish company in the past, and had a falling out with the other director, and they agreed to shut it down.
How can you verify if a company is closed or not, and if it isn't who the directors are?
I had a look around cro.ie but nothing lept out as a search for registered or struck off companies.
