From 16/5/23, following new Scottish Government guidance, we are delighted to announce, that Hospice visitors and all clinical and nursing staff within the Hospice building and out in the community in people’s homes, do not need to wear a facemask. There will be some occasions when we will require you to wear face masks or ask you when you visit the hospice to wear a face mask, but this will be based on clinical need and current infection prevention control guidance. This means visitors will not be routinely asked to wear facemasks in the Hospice, although they can still do so if they want. I ..read more

It is with great sadness that we share the news that one of our trustees, Joe Lowe, has died after a short illness. Joe supported the Kilbryde Hospice appeal from its outset in 2001 and became a trustee in 2013. During his time with Kilbryde, he played a key role in the delivery of our 12-bed hospice building here in East Kilbride. Joe was a great advocate of all things Kilbryde. One of his greatest strengths was knowing the right people and having the persuasive skills to get them to help the hospice. Joe was also well known and loved by all our staff across the hospice, and the fundraisers r ..read more
