When we went to our very first trip to Europe few years back, I couldn't pass up the chance to finally visit Antwerp — a tiny yet charming port city in Belgium that I've always been fascinated with as a kid. Before the trip, people around me actually kept on asking "Why Antwerp?" because it sounded like such an odd choice since it's not yet a popular travel destination among our circle. But with its colorful history, inspiring art scene, vibrant fashion, yummy Belgian waffles, delicious beer and chocolates, I don't see why not.
I was made aware of Antwerp's fabulous existence on the map ..read more

No trip to Switzerland is ever complete without actually experiencing the Swiss Alps. There's a great abundance of Alpine mountain adventures you can choose from in the ‘land of milk and honey’ but if you have the time and the budget for it, why not go all out and visit the very Top of Europe itself or Jungfraujoch? While some may claim that it's severely overrated, despite the struggle we faced due to the rainy weather when we visited it last June, I have to say that our Jungfraujoch experience was one of our most mind-blowing and unforgettable adventures we’ve ever done so far.
So what e ..read more

One of the highlights of our recent trip to stunning Switzerland was definitely our visit to the city of St. Gallen and its neighboring town Maienfeld or more popularly referred to as Heidiland. Since we visited on a weekend, we were expecting both places to be extremely busy. But instead of squeezing our way around the expected crowd of tourists, we were pleasantly surprised to discover how peaceful and low-key both places were instead.
Our one day trip to St. Gallen and Maienfeld last June (with Zurich as our base) truly felt like the perfectly quiet and relaxing retreat that we both ne ..read more

The pyramid-shaped mountain printed outside every pack of Toblerone chocolate is actually Switzerland's famous Matterhorn, one of the highest summits in the Alps and all over Europe. It also happens to be my favorite chocolate in the whole wide world, so I must say that my motivation to see the Matterhorn up close was pretty strong. In fact, to say that I was extremely excited to go to Zermatt last June was probably the understatement of the century. :)
We were based in Zurich, so we had to wake up extra early in order to catch the earliest train bound for Zermatt and have enough time to c ..read more

We’re almost at the last chapter of Ramadan this year, and while I would definitely miss the shorter office timing and much more relaxed pace of things this past month, I cannot wait for the very long Eid holiday that’s just waiting right around the corner for all of us. Ramadan is already in full swing, which means shorter office timing and longer timing for everything else and I'm definitely enjoying every bit of it while it lasts. This weekend has been quite uneventful since we decided to stay home-bound, but I did manage to finish off some chores and catch some episodes of Game of Thrones with the husband while dreaming of a trip to Morocco (one of our dream destinations) hopefully this Eid if everything goes as planned. Here's another round of my hand-picked goodies this week same as what I did last time, which are just perfect for a lazy weekend spent re ..read more

Happy International Lipstick Day, gorgeous! Last year, I posted about my favorite lip products in celebration of Lipstick Day, but today I want to talk about my experience with a product that's become increasingly popular among every makeup aficionado and for very good reasons — liquid lipsticks. There's no denying how much liquid lipsticks had levelled up since their invention in the 1990's. Its popularity soared to great heights last year, but this year is different. It totally boomed (fireworks and all). With just about every brand releasing their own line and version, we have undoubtedly r ..read more

When I ran out of my favorite Maybelline Dream BB Fresh couple of months ago, I rediscovered a Maybelline Fit Me Anti Shine Foundation Stick still unopened from the bottom pile of my makeup drawer. Randomly picked this out on a 50% discount ages ago from Carrefour and totally forgot about its existence, and I had no clue at all how surprisingly good this product is! This is like a BB cream, with better coverage, and minus all the mess. This foundation is perfect for those days you want to strut a flawless face, but without looking too made up. It incredibly hides blemishes, with your skin stil ..read more

Dear Eiffel Tower, The sky was pitch black the first time we met, and to be quite honest, my inner twelve-year old was so disappointed and was already on the verge of throwing a massive fit. Yes, you were super tall and you were even sparkling with all those lights and all, but seeing you didn’t fill me with supposed joie de vivre. You weren’t the dreamy, brilliant, awe-inspiring and romantic structure I've always imagined you to be. I wanted more from you. I was expecting more. We came back the very next day, in high hopes that you’re going to transform yourself somehow, sweep me off my fee ..read more

Hello from the sweeping sand dunes of Dubai! What have you been up to lately? With Ramadan nearing its end this year, summer has already started to creep in. I can't believe that we're almost halfway done with 2019, so I know that this post is long overdue. Yes, mercury is rising up fast in our corner of the world, but the love and support I received from all of you last year are warming up my heart even more. Won't be dying from heat stroke, but my heart is definitely exploding with gratitude for all of you. :) This is just a little appreciation post for the lovely team of top deals websit ..read more
