I haven’t been diagnosed but every single healthcare professional seems to think I have endo due to my symptoms. Anyway, I had a pelvic physiotherapy appointment today, a family member saw how much pain I’ve been in and booked me an appointment to see if they could suggest anything to help. She did a pelvic floor examination where she pushed on everything, internally checked muscles and also moved my hips to check those areas? Ever since then I’ve felt extremely nauseous, this was about 7 hours ago and I feel progressively worse. I had diarrhoea straight after that hasn’t gone away and I feel ..read more

Endometriosis has isolated me intensely given it has taken my mobility, energy, and career. Most of my time is spent online writing things into a void. Looking for connection and constantly feeling on the outside. If this resonates with you, maybe we could connect. I’d like to build a little community where we can support each other online, probably over Discord. Find things that help us feel a tiny bit better and make our days more enjoyable and less isolated. Share memes, content recommendations, swap tips. A bit about me: 34, they/them pronouns, child free, living in Ontario. I was an ecol ..read more

Unexplained pain for years

I’ve had painful periods forever. But more than that, I’ve had leg pain that comes and goes for as long as I can remember. The pain can be so bad it is debilitating and can bring me to tears, although it usually goes away with pain killers. I just learned about sciatic endo so I’m wondering if this could possibly be what is causing it. I’m wondering if anyone else has a similar symptom. submitted by /u/A123331 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My mental health is going downhill. I have no quality of life. I’m in pain 24/7. Every day I wake up and see a stranger in the mirror. A shell of my former self. I’m in a constant state of dissociation. I’ll go up a few pant sizes depending on how bad my flare is. I have no conception of what my body actually looks like. My body is covered in surgery scars and stretch marks from the severe bloating. The acne scars top it all off. My gut motility is paralyzed, so I have to rely on laxatives. I’ve tried it all. Every stool softener, diet plan, probiotic, you name it. Nothing has worked. I feel ..read more

I just had my first Endo surgery 5 days ago, they ended up removing an endometrioma, my appendix and said my left tube was fused closed. I had always been dealing with this pain, as long as I remember, but especially since December when the endometrioma started growing fast. It’s all been fast-paced - my surgery got moved up to essentially 2 weeks after I met my Dr (bless her). I’m 22 and have been advised to freeze my eggs, started BC for the first time ever, etc. big things, but am super thankful for this community since no one in my family has Endo. Anyways… 5 days post op and having terri ..read more

I finally got surgery for my endometriosis after years of complaining about pain - and am pain free! The back story is I have always had bad period cramps since I was 18 or so, now I am currently 30. This caused me to get on birth control at a young age to help regulate my period. Over the years, my cramping never seemed to get better even with regulation and as I got into my mid 20s, I started to experience more of the endo symptoms. I had been seeing my gyno starting around when I was 23, and when I brought this to his attention around 25-26 he pretty much told me that I'd be fine and the o ..read more

Chronic Back Pain Endometriosis?

I have had a localized back pain on my right side lower back/upper buttock for 2.5 years. I have had numerous treatments and got ZERO results. I had a partial hysterectomy 1 year ago for endo and fibroids. I also have PCOS. My pain seems to get worse cyclically, but I’m not sure if it coincides with my “menstruation”. Has anyone had back pain for endometrial tissue that attached to this spot? submitted by /u/Amandations [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have surgery on the calendar in about 3 weeks. I’m coping with the anxiety by trying to learn as much as possible/be as prepared as possible. Those of you who’ve done the surgery, what did you bring with you/do in recovery that was great? What do you wish you would have done? Thanks submitted by /u/UnderstandingNo7912 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Pain that is so sharp and uncomfortable that you have to stand in the position you are in and not move or if you’re laying in a certain position you can’t move cause it makes the pain worse? Im trying to figure out if I have endometriosis or if anyone else has experienced this pain? submitted by /u/toothfairy-01 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

(I’m very new to the world of endometriosis so apologies if this is a silly question.) It’s in my left leg behind the knee & below, it’s completely unexplained, no injury, started hurting in a very new, very intense & different way to anything I’ve ever experienced in my life, not able to move or sit with my leg in certain ways. It’s become much milder in the last few days but not gone away. Only in the last few days have I been making a connection that it could be related to my suspected endometriosis as that is also on my left side only & has been streaming down to my thigh from ..read more
