He said he was in the hospital wing, but there was a second tryout after Harry and the twins got banned... why didn't he try out?

Hypothetical: If you were a founder of a new school of witchcraft and wizardry, where would it be, what type of location/building would it be and why?

First of all , this is coming from someone who has never read the books and it has been a very long while since I watched Harry poter movies .
Did not government or authority find out about the magic world ? There were so many wizards and magicla creatures did seriously no one find out about them ? Yes they had parameters to stop wizards but seriously there must have been some loophole or some way a wizard could pass on the information .
It's fiction so I wouldn't like to put too much thought into this but still it's a pretty big problem I have with the series .
Also I apologise if this has b ..read more

He does accents for most characters. Seamus got an Irish one, Karkaroff got whatever eastern European one he got, etc etc
I'd have loved a thick Scottish accent for Minerva
Did Jim Dale do accents?

I just reread OOTP and I'm still as confused about everything the kids saw while in the Department of Mysteries. Like the brains in that tank? That archway with the veil? Was there ever any explanation given later about what all that crazy stuff was, or is it just supposed to be weird and 'a mystey'?

Rereading the last book, I realize, maybe, something that bothers me a little: Nowhere does Snape seem to be aware of what Dumbeldore actually did :
Dumbeldore's objective in agreeing with Snape to kill him is twofold. It's on the one hand to protect Draco Malfoy, but also to put an end to the lineage of the Elder wand, since Snape is not the winner. Dumbeldore is supposed to die undefeated.
The first objective is completely acceptable. I have nothing to say about it. The second, on the other hand, bothers me, because nowhere does Snape seem aware that 1° Dumbeldore's wand is the elder wand ..read more

They are very eerie and gothic instead of being magical. I like mina limas takes on it much better. I do like harrys illustrations but thats pretty much it. People in jim kays illustrations are always looking strange having strange emotions, everything apart from smiling or joyous even in scenes which are supposed d to be happy.
Also his scenes do not have details, its mostly just pain splashed along with some characters

why is harry a half blood if lily has a witch? 2 magic parents should mean you're a pureblood. its weird that, if harry had a magic parent and a muggle parent, it would be the same as having a magic and muggle born parent. thats saying that muggle borns and muggles are the same
