I’m feeling fully revitalised after the holidays and looking forward to welcoming you all back to the Mysore classes this evening. We had such an amazing Summer Retreat in Puglia that bookings are already open for our 2020 Retreat! The Mysore classes are now back in full swing every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 5.30pm-8pm. It’s hard to believe that the Summer holidays are already upon us! I know that many of you will be away on holidays during the month of August. I’ll also be away teaching our Summer Retreat in Puglia, Italy (and taking a break to explore the beautiful beaches and historical towns of southern Italy!) The Mysore classes will finish for the Summer this evening and will resume on Monday, September 2nd. I hope you’re all enjoying the Summer sunshine! Just a gentle reminder that I will be practicing with my teacher from India on his European tour over the coming weeks. It’s hard to believe that June is already upon us! The Mysore classes will be running as usual all month including an Introductory Workshop next Saturday, June 8th for both beginners and anyone looking for a refresher in the basic fundamentals (see below for full details.) Ashtanga Yoga is so often misunderstood as a purely physical practice but it can be a deeply healing and transformative practice when correctly understood. It’s great to our Mysore classes so busy – I’ve been teaching traditional Ashtanga Yoga in modern day Dublin  for over a decade and I’m more passionate than ever about incorporating this authentic practice into our everyday lives! There is a lot of conflicting advice out there about how one should practice Ashtanga Yoga.  A lot of this hyperbole creates an unnecessarily strict and dogmatic approach which takes one further away from developing a sustainable long term practice. It’s great to see our newly extended Mysore Programme in full swing – I’m delighted that you’re all enjoying our new space and availing of the additional evening classes! We also have an amazing group of 20 practitioners on our current Immersion Course. We’ve been reviewing the programme to date and decided to add an extra five weekend dates. Our new evening Mysore Programme starts today! Our new venue is an intimate space called ‘Kamra’ (meaning sacred room in Hindi) located above Dublin’s coolest Indian restaurant, Kerala Kitchen. It’s a truly authentic setting for Ashtanga yoga, originating from the source in Mysore, southern India. The new programme will offer Mysore Style classes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm-8pm.
