How to avoid waking up when you become lucid?

Today I took a nap for about 2 hours, and during that nap I dreamed about 2 times and in those 2 times I became conscious. The problem is that when I became conscious I couldn't enjoy the lucid dream because I woke up. This is a problem that I have always suffered with, every time I become conscious in a dream I wake up, and it is something that I have no control over. submitted by /u/PropertySpecific2456 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is it possible to have a lucid dream but not remember being lucid? Or is that just a regular dream?

I've been remembering parts of a dream I had last night. When I envision it, it seemed like real life. Nothing was super different, it was almost like a regular real-life day, and I remember two things specifically that felt the most real. The first thing is that I was in my kitchen getting a ziplock bag out of the drawer for some reason. Not sure why, but still it felt really real and I think in that moment I felt aware?? It wasn't like non lucid dreams where you kinda just watch the dream, it felt like I WAS just living another normal day. But because I remember nothing else, I don't know i ..read more

I realized this morning, that I have the same type of dream every two/three months. In this dreams I find myself in the bathroom taking a huge shit and I find it impossible to stop. And when I succed in stopping pooping, I start doing something else, until I shit in my pants and run back to the bathroom. So, now, every time I will go to the bathroom, I will do a reality check. submitted by /u/AmeTheProo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

General question about knowledge in dreams

This is not specifically about LD but about dreams in general, but I think you guys will be able to give good answers. So thanks to LD we know that if we look closely at things in our dreams they somehow look weird, because our brains are limited at visualizing, right? That’s why reality checks like counting your fingers work. So far so good. I had a dream the other night (not lucid!) in which I had a in depth conversation with some friends about a controversial topic that I’m interested in in RL. I was arguing with lots of facts and examples in this dream, basically I was saying out loud all ..read more

So you know how you been seeing video clips of people saying not to ever ask what time it is in your dream? because apparently something really bad will happen? Well I don't know why but I got the balls to ask for the time to see if something creepy would happen and my theory was, Well if you are going in thinking that something bad or really scary is going to happen then you are going to manifest that in the dream when you ask that question because you are already thinking that something scary or creepy will happen. In my dream I walked up to an EMT who was standing behind a person laying on ..read more
