We chose “The Marriage Issue” as the theme for our latest edition of Outlife757 Magazine almost six months ago, excited by the double entendres it conveys to the LGBTQ community. That was the easy part. But for our cover photo, we wanted to illustrate the infinite number of ways LGBTQ couples are creating their own wedding traditions. That took a little more thought. But, as my grandma always said, “If you want to see God laugh, make plans.” It poured from the moment we arrived, and we moved the rehearsal indoors. No pool, no beach, no bonfire, no kayaking. On our wedding day, the weather was still not cooperating, but Jill and I were debating on taking our chances. The sky cleared for a couple mi ..read more
