I am looking to recreate just the jeans walking, not the man following them. Although I did find a video about the behind the scenes of this very ad it is from the 90s and not applicable to current workflows.
My mind immediately went to shooting the scene twice and rotoscoping out the feet/upper half of the person walking but I wasn't sure how to make it appear as if the jeans were empty in the bottom as it is in this ad.
I also had an idea for a scene where the jeans were getting out of a bed and with this I can't imagine it working since the two sho ..read more

Does anyone have recommendations for a remote desktop service, like teradici, for a single user, free or less expensive that works well for the kind of work we do? I see Chrome remote desktop, but unclear if that will handle streaming maya or other apps.

Does anybody have any sources? Most the stuff on ActinoVFX and Fxelements is full on burning. I'm looking for some variety of flames dying out and smoldering.

Hi all,
I am wanting to create an effect where a wall inside a room shifts further and further away (character is hallucinating and wanting to leave a room and the wall with the door keeps moving further away by itself)
This isn't actually for a specific project - it's just a fun VFX thing I want to try as I learn more about VFX. I am relatively competent in AE but haven't ventured into any other software but open to try new things.
Wondering if anybody can give some advice on how I could achieve this effect? I'm not too sure how to approach this
Any help much appreciated - thanks!

Dear VFX Artists,
I'm excited to share our 20-minute sci-fi short film, "UNDER THE ICE," about a team of scientists influenced by cosmic glacier gases. Think of it as "Arrival" meets "Stalker" and "Annihilation."
As this project is a student film, none of the team members are paid, but if you're looking for a challenge and a chance to showcase your skills in a great looking movie, we would love to check out your material and get to know you and your work.
We look for: 2 Retouches, 1 Compositing Shot, and 1 entire sequence of Point Cloud Animation mixed with Cosmic Graphics...
