When the ends of your shirt sleeves become a bit ratty, its an easy fix. I start to pull on them until they completely tear apart as you can see in this video! But then a few minutes of the beautiful blanket stitch, and they look even cooler than before. I used white thread for this tutorial and now I smile when I see the stitches in my shirt, it's always so nice to feel like you added a personal touch to your clothing. And of course important to repair your clothes. Hope you like it! Keep on watching and sewing! Love, Cinderella Sew ..read more

Someone asked for a video on how to cut the band off the bottom of a sweatshirt, and while I have many videos on how to crop a sweater, this shows how to easily just cut off that bottom band. This makes the sweater looser at the bottom, which I can show off your waistline. Or maybe just offers a more comfortable fit for you! Either way, I love hearing what kind of videos people are looking for, so keep the Youtube comments coming! Peace and love, Cinderella Sew ..read more

This is my favourite thing to do to all of my tshirts, cutting that neckline lower to make a flattering scoop neck. This is easy to do, takes only a few minutes, and makes a huge difference. The nice thing about cotton fabric is that you don't have to hem it, the fabric will not fray after being cut. And I also shorten sleeves a bit to make them more flattering on the arms! Check it out and join my addiction to lower tshirt necklines! Peave and love, Cinderella Sew ..read more

I love a cosy sweater, but also want them to flatter my figure. So I have taken to shortening them to the exact length I want, and hand sewing the hem at the bottom. It is easier than it may sound! Simply cut the sweater to the length you desire, especially using my folding trick to make sure it is symmetrical. Then fold up the hem, and use a needle and thread to sew it in place! Check out this easy tutorial, and enjoy your new custom length sweater. Show me what you do to yours! Cinderella Sew ..read more
