I didn't plan a trip to Vegas during Halloween this year, but I was there last year for the celebrations and it was...interesting. I wish I'd taken more photos of some of the costumes, like the very creative girl dressed as the Three Blind Mice - all three of them. Very clever!
Still, unless you're in Vegas right now (which several of my friends are), you are probably finding ways to have fun at home. If you're not in Vegas this year, you could be there next year. So here are some great ideas for how to have some Halloween fun in Vegas, compliments of Forbes.com:

Vegas with Queen + Adam Lambert June 2017
Photos from my last Vegas trip, June 23-25. My whole reason for booking this trip was to attend the Queen + Adam Lambert concert on Saturday night. What an awesome show! One of the best I've seen, only second to The Eagles.
On my first night in town, I met up with Chriss, a long-time friend from England, whom I'd never met in person before. We've been internet friends for about 10 years, and we talked like old friends who see each other regularly, We also drank a LOT of free drinks, courtesy of the Bellagio ..read more

Last Christmas, our boss gave us three hard-working women a trip to Vegas as our Christmas bonus. Me, Roslyn, and Julie spent three nights at Bellagio having a great time. Roslyn hadn't been in years, and it was Julie's first trip. I got to play tour guide once again.
I think I can safely say that Julie had a great first trip. We saw Zumanity, ate great food, and did a LOT of walking. Check out Julie's "beefcake" photo at the end. :)

Another trip report in photos - July 4th weekend 2016
A solo trip just because I wanted one. Stayed at Flamingo, and did a lot of walking and eating really good food. Oh, and I fell in love with a new cult game - Game of Thrones.

Chinese New Year and A Trip Down Memory Lane...
Behind again. I am just now posting from my January 2016 trip. I cancelled my December trip when mom became extremely sick. This was originally going to be a trip for both of us that we booked back in July, and then she wanted me to go by myself, and then...well, she got extremely ill, and I cancelled the trip altogether. The night we were originally supposed to leave in December was the night she went into the hospital for the last time.
I took this trip in January to get out and try to do something for me.   ..read more

"Better late than never..."
Is that really true? So much has happened in the past four months that I completely forgot to post anything about my September 2015 Vegas trip with my mom. As it turns out, our Labor Day weekend trip was mom's last Vegas trip before she passed away on December 23, 2015 from cancer.
When I finally downloaded the Vegas photos from my little Canon PowerShot camera, I found another photo of mom that I'd forgotten about. Mom was never a fan of having her picture taken in the first place, so I'm shocked that I actually got TWO photos of her on thi ..read more

Flying Solo on the Fourth of July
This was my only solo trip for the year. I am taking a total of four - yes, FOUR - trips this year, and that's a lot of trips for me, because one needs money for these trips, yes? Luckily my boss is great and gives me the time off (without pay) if I don't have the time saved up and my trips runneth over into a workday, but he's also paid for two of my round-trip flights already, so I'm not going to complain about it when I have to possibly go for ONE day without pay in exchange for what is essentially a "free" trip to Vegas. Free round ..read more

I have no cute title for this trip. Just can't think of one. Plus I didn't take nearly the number of photos as I usually do. Perhaps I'm losing my touch?
This is trip number 30-something with my mom, and we stayed at Harrah's again. We found out after the fact that we could check in ahead of time like I'd done previously at Flamingo, but the email went to my parents' shared email and my dad neglected to let us know. Instead, he wrote down the confirmation number and deleted the email, and told my mom after we were home from the trip. How helpful. (I s ..read more

Another great list of things to do or see, off the beaten path, if you want something different to do in Las Vegas. This article is on the HotelClub blog:
Hidden Gems
I've always wanted to find the "secret pizza", but haven't done it yet.
I HAVE seen the tusk at TI, which is beautiful. TI also has several other beautiful artifacts on display with the tusk.
Great ideas if you're tired of the same old Vegas. I'm not.  ..read more
