Back in September I injured my right knee. Turned and felt a pop. Went to orthopedic dr and he ordered and MRI. Came back clear no tears or anything. Said I must have subluxted my knee. Sent to physio for the past couple of months. But have had this bump pop out everytime I bend my knee. Was given restrictions of limiting my kneeling, bending and squatting. Also told to limit my stairs and walking. That don’t really work with my job, but I’m trying. Dr says this bump could be either some synovial fluid that got stuck when it popped or a fat pad or pressure related even though there is no ..read more

Just had 2/3 hyaluronic gel shots for my knee and still feel the same. I have a cartilage defect in the cartilage right under my knee cap. Is this normal? Does gel shots help with cartilage damage and will I be able to play soccer again?

Almost going on 2 years. I broke both of my legs in a car accident . My right leg had done tremendous amount of healing and doing full range of motion. Now my left femur was shattered (like glass not snapped in half like a twig) makes my knee look really swollen. It’s been a long time now. I’ve visited a doctor and had a second surgery 7 months ago because I had popped a piece of my bone out of place. I can’t seem to get back to straightening it or getting full range of motion. There’s also a huge keloid scar going over my knee joint. Does anyone have tips on how to help the swelling and stra ..read more

Just had bilateral MPFL surgery. Wondering if anyone who has had this surgery can tell me from their experience when I could maybe expect to stand for long periods of time again? With proper physio and strength training

So I'm 15M, and I tripped backwards and then my kneecap came out, it didn't make a pop sound or anything but it just moved as I fell, and when i straightened it, it came back into place. I was able to bend it, walk on it the same day but there's stiffness and pain when I put pressure directly on it, I can pretty much do lunges on it now (About a week later)
Just wondering the likelihood of ligament tear and when I can start working out again. I still can't like pistol squat with it, and I definitely don't wanna try to jump since Im not confident enough right now. I wanna know when I can get b ..read more

Hey all!
So about 8 months ago I tore my meniscus from skateboarding 24F. I tore it at the meniscoscapsular junction which apparently has good blood flow so my surgeon thinks that healed by now. I also had fraying of the posterior horn of my lateral meniscus, which I feel like has not healed. especially because it’s in the white zone. I feel like the fraying has propagated because now I have this huge click and sometimes it catches.
I’ve decided to ask my doctor about arthroscopic surgery to smooth out my meniscus. I have a lot of scar tissue in my knee from past surgeries. I was wondering fo ..read more

A friend let me borrow their skateboard and while I was trying to get it figured out I fell and bent my knee wierd. It hurts like crazy and I can barely put any weight on it, I'm avoiding the doctor if I can but I'd rather not deal with permanent damage.

How bad does this look? All I did was fall off my bike onto my knee and didn’t think it was a big deal, but it hurts severely and is hard to walk.

I don't want to take all the garbage medicine, but change my diet instead. Give me the best advice you have, as if I was your brother.

Hi all, I am currently 9 weeks post op and I am having a bit of anxiety over my next surgeon appointment which is in a few weeks.
He mentioned that I need to bend it more than 90 degrees, which appears to be a complicated task at the moment as I can only bend it 70 degrees while laying down and he said if I don't achieve this goal I will require surgery again.
Last week was 60 degrees according to my physio.
I started my PT around the 6 week mark as recommended by my surgeon.
Is it normal to be 70 degrees at this stage? I'm really trying to keep up with my exercises and I am afraid I'm failin ..read more
