Our day started really early, 0500. Why so early, you ask? Because there are high winds predicted today in Las Vegas. Up to 40 mph! Wind and RV's do not go together well, so if we could beat the wind and be parked early before it hits, that would be a good thing. So yes, we crawled out of bed at 0500 and started to get everything ready to roll. And we had to lock up the casita, the tool shack, and ..read more

There are 51000 cases in Nevada and 45000 are in Clark County (Vegas). We are being very careful. Basically Vegas is kind of a ghost town. The casinos are empty. They seem to be using this opportunity to work on infrastructure, the Strip is torn up, and practically ever ..read more

It’s a great time to visit as it’s right before the heat of summer, yet still warm enough to go out and enjoy outside. Those who live in harsh winter climates love to escape here especially. Some College Basketball Action 3-6-20 I was up early to get the bread and cinnamon rolls at Great Harvest Bread. I manage to get the goodies to the condo on time for breakfast. Scott and Kristi prepared the eggs and sausage. We cut up some cinnamon rolls to go with the feast. Around noon, we loaded up the van for the Orleans arena to take in some women’s college basketball. Gonzaga didn’t play, (t ..read more

Hanging out in Las Vegas 3-5-20 The whole clan crammed into the 15 passenger van for the annual pilgrimage to “Mr. Mamma’s Breakfast and Lunch. This is a great place to eat and the host is a hoot. After breakfast, we went to the condo and hung out for hours discussing all sorts of topics including kids, gran-kids, sports, old movies, all the maladies we are succumbing to and how the “virus will ..read more

Mesquite, NV to Las Vegas, NV 3-4-20 Pretty short trip today so left Mesquite around 9AM. Arrived in Las Vegas around 10AM and decided to run a few errands before the expected arrival of friends Kristi and Scott around 3:30 PM. One errand was to get dog treats for Sadie as they are out of them in Anchorage. Turns out they are out of them everywhere. I’m not sure I can go home now, Sadie likes her ..read more

October 18, 2019 The wind died down and is very
pleasant this morning. Made a nice breakfast trying to
use up what we have left on board. Pulled
most everything out of the storage areas and
rearranged based on our experience of three
weeks on the road. Did a deeper clean than usual which
should lighten the load when we get home. Even did
laundry which is cheap ($2.50)! There are
some very fancy ri ..read more
