First off, many people know about graphene, the wonder material that's 200 times stronger than steel. but Carbyne LAC and Graphyne are lesser known materials. So I'll give a brief explanation.
First is Carbyne LAC, which is not conductive, it is stiff, and it has a tensile strength at least twice as strong as graphene from what I've read ( other sources say like 20 times stronger, but information regarding Carbyne LAC is kind of scarce)
Graphyne is basically Carbyne LAC molecules arranged in the same hexagonal pattern as graphene, making it many times stronger than both Carbyne LAC and Graphe ..read more

Sorry if this comes off a little gatekeepy - definitely not my intent. I completely understand that science fiction means a lot of things to a lot of different people. For me, the interpersonal drama is boring. I’ve been a fan of Star Trek since I was a little kid, but a lot of the episodes focus on the interactions between the characters and just happen to have the back drop of space - in reality, this same story could be told elsewhere.
What I’m really looking for is a story (preferably visual media) in which the science part is the main part and the plot doesn’t get bogged down with anthro ..read more

I started reading through this book, and I think there's a compelling argument to be made that it is an early example of science fiction. It comes at a time when Germ Theory was becoming the accepted scientific truth and was a relatively new concept. When we think of vampires today, we think that the turning process is the vampire biting its victim, but that is not the case in Dracula. In Dracula, one must ingest a vampire's blood to become one.
