May 4th will likely not be remembered as much as 9/11… and yet, what Congress did last Thursday will end up killing many more Americans than Osama bin Laden ever did. I’ve been studying and participating in politics since the 1960s, and this presidential cycle and political era  is proving to be not only unpredictable but also stunning. This has been the year of the podcast for me, a fresh venture using a new medium that my co workers still have to explain to me just about every time I show up to record.
