This program has a 3 4 or 5 day a week programming
I was wondering if there is a recommend weekly split ie.
Monday Tuesday On Wednesday Off Thursday Friday On Sat sun off
Or for 5 day Monday thru friday on
I couldn’t find a recommendation online and I thought I could ask here I often see this program recommended a lot and pretty well regarded
If there is a similar program that does the same job ie with the periodization and mesocycling I would love to hear some recommendations as well
Thanks for your time

Recently I’ve stopped doing hip thrusts completely because I dread doing them. I never get a good stretch (i know they’re a shortened movement but still it doesn’t feel like I’m working the muscle without a stretch) or feel like my glutes are being worked whenever I up the weight.
2 plates feels good whenever I’m doing barbell hip thrusts but anything more than that and I lose the mind muscle connection and start to feel them in my quads. Because of this I’ve been stuck at 2 plates for ~3 months.
Recently I’ve been focusing on getting my squat pr up and ohmygosh I feel like my legs look bette ..read more

My girlfriend has started going to the gym with me recently. We've started on Before the Barbell and it's been a great introduction for her. We're in week 6 and it's been great to see her confidence improve so much as she's started to see her strength growing.
She's got really long and thick hair, it's comfortably down to her bottom. She's found a way to manage it for just about everything except Barbell squats and I'm at a loss of how to help her. A ponytail can be dangerous for obvious reasons and a bun doesn't work because there's too much hair that it's just kind of flops down her neck an ..read more

Hey guys,
I am doing a project about weightlifting and the singlets we wear, any thoughts, feelings and insights would be much appreciated. Here are some questions I would like to ask you:
1. What do you like about weightlifting?
2. How does doing weightlifting/being a weightlifter make you feel?
3. How does your singlet make you feel? (eg, empowered, confident, or exposed and embarrassed?)
4. Do you think the available singlets work or would you like to see a change?
5. Would you like to have more design options when buying a competition singlet?
6. Female weightlifters - would you like to s ..read more

40F lifter here. I lift 4x week at 6am for one hour. I lift heavy and I’m working on a slow body recomposition over the next year or so. I’m curious how many ladies get in 10,000 steps a day because that is HARD! At least it is for me. Once a week I usually get in a good long 7k walk, or errands on a Saturday, but 10k a day seems almost impossible.
My schedule: Lift: Mon Tu Th Fr Rest: Wed Saturday and Sunday for errands and walks.
I need my Wednesday rest day because I kill it at the gym the other 4 days and I’m annihilated.
I WFH and my job is very demanding. So once I sit at my desk, I’m s ..read more

I currently use my notes app to log weight / reps etc. Are there any good (and free) apps to do this? Or should I stick with my notes? Thanks!

I 20f have always wanted to go to the gym but my eating habits and not knowing what to do have been the biggest things preventing me from doing so. There's so many programs out there that I feel overwhelmed by knowing what and how to pick one. I can't afford a personal trainer so for those who self taught themselves working out. How did you do it?
My goal is to learn how to exercise and eventually create my own workout programs. I'm open to following one made already but would like to do research into things like the exercises themselves, variations and why we do them, etc. Please suggest bot ..read more
