Was a lot of fun creating this single artwork for AJ Mack’s ‘Go Cadillac’. AJ sent a nice, succinct brief — him in a Cadillac blasting into space. The song features a sample from Japanese hip hop/electronic group M-Flo’s ‘Mars Drive’, so we paid homage to that. Process Thumbnails Here are some of the initial thumbnail roughs. Here’s a fun caricature/illustration commission from Melbourne' comedian Sarah Nicolazzo (AKA Wailing Sarah). Sarah is a real changeling, and her characters she creates are hilarious. The brief was to create a profile picture for social media commemorating her account’s first anniversary. Sarah has a rubber face, and many identities, so the challenge was to draw her facial expressions while keeping her core likeness. So MAD posted this earlier. Great piece by the amazing Hermann Mejia (under the pseudonym of Alejandro Rivas). Here's a bit of trivia for the MAD nuts out there... I was on board to draw it originally, but they offered me a movie parody as well. It was all too much work for me to handle, so I reluctantly had to let go of the 'Trumpmore' one.
