I’m biased, after having gone myself, but I think everyone should visit The Flower Fields in Carlsbad at least once. This is particularly true if you live in Southern California since you will not have to travel far to visit. I visited in Spring 2023 as a guest of The Cassara Carlsbad, which is a member of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. That’s when I took the photographs illustrating this post. Since my visit, I’ve stayed on top of news from the area. I want to go to The Flower Fields again one day. The rest of this post may have information garnered from press releases I receive from pub ..read more

Despite having been to Tallinn many times, I still don’t know the city well enough to make a very detailed travel guide. And my posts are always about my experiences. They’re not listicles made for SEO-only. That being said, Tallinn has become one of my favorite places to visit in Europe. I enjoy returning over and over. And there are a few things I try not to miss when I visit. Since I get asked about the city often, I thought it was about time I put together a mini guide to Tallinn that I can share when asked. This is by no means a complete guide to Tallinn. Nor is it meant to be! I hope i ..read more

My number one rule has become, “Try to buy only what you need.” That being said, never shopping again for anything, isn’t an option. So when I do need to shop, I try to support Queer-owned, Black-owned, Latine-owned, Asian-owned businesses and more. Header photo by Alexander Grey on Unsplash Because merely enriching mega corporations or billionaires with my purchasing power, is not something that feels in line with my values. Now that PRIDE month is over, it feels like the right time to remind myself that I can support Queer-owned brands year-round. So here I am, publishing thi ..read more
