Im hoping this calms me down a bit. Maybe even for 3 to 5 minutes 3x a week. Anyone else try one of these led masks? I bought this one on Ebay https://www.matas.dk/mz-skin-led-20-lightmax-supercharged-led-mask. submitted by /u/cl2916 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What to do about mod swings? Can't take meds.

I am in the thick of perimenopause and my moods are doing my head in. They'll probably do someone else in if I don't control them soon! Unfortunately HRT, anti anxiety, anti depressant meds etc are off the table for me due to a genetic disorder. What things have most helped you with your moods that aren't med based? submitted by /u/Spiritual_Suspect361 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I can't seem to do much strenuous activity without making my body go haywire. Every time I start getting a little active my body goes into overdrive and I start to a full body sweat. ? Today it was set off by vacuuming... Sometimes getting into a hot car can set it off. Is this normal hot flash type stuff? submitted by /u/Turbulent_Dimensions [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Continuous BC?

How important is it to still have a period? I take Nexstellis (which has been pretty ok) continuously for three months, then take a break. The thing is that when I take that break I don’t know who is going to show up- the good, the bad, or the ugly. Honestly, not having my period has helped with a lot of the anxiety & depression I was having- and I don’t want to go back! So, do you have to have a period at this point? I’m 48 and have been in peri for about 4 yrs and started the three months on/one week off about a year ago. I also recently started a low dose of testosterone cream daily, w ..read more

Anyone else out there feeling this? Maybe it is by choice? I mean I’ve put myself out there but am discerning in my choices. Also, I’m not so sure how unhappy I am with this. Confusing I know. I’d like to hear from similar experiences. Thanks. submitted by /u/reluctant_hedgehog [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Every time I try generic estrogen patches I get spotting and cramps, and return to Minivelle. But MV is expensive and not covered by my insurance. Any suggestions for reliable generics or other brands? Thanks! submitted by /u/WilburMama [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

On HRT and it’s not helping

So, I’ve only been on HRT since March 3rd. For the first month, it was miraculous! I felt like myself again, basically totally normal. The last two weeks all my symptoms are back, hot flashes are worse than ever, and brain fog & fatigue are off the charts. I’m post-meno so I can’t say it’s cyclical. Has anyone else experienced this with their HRT and what was the answer? submitted by /u/Overall-Ad4596 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

New to HRT: what dose & to expect?

47F here, finally realized my debilitating fatigue, constant irritability and brain fog symptoms weren’t long COVID as much as perimenopause when my libido tanked in Jan. Doctor took a blood test and my E2 was 11, FSH 75, so he said I probably am very late peri and put me on 0.75 estradiol patch (replace every other day) & 100mg progesterone. I’ve read the meno wiki (which is great - thanks!) but was wondering what to expect, and when I would know the dosage is right or not. Doc didn’t give much explanation, just to see him again in a month. I started my estrogen patch last night and don ..read more

What are hot flashes, when you've always been overheated and sweaty?

For my entire life, I've been overheated and sweaty. I call myself the human furnace. This applies whether I've been underweight or obese. I'm always wearing a tank top and sandals in the winter, and I've always been sleeping with the window open and a fan on when it's below freezing. I've had lots of bloodwork done, gotten my vitamin D, B12 and folate under control. Still overheated all the time. How do I know if I have hot flashes? Have I been having them my whole life? submitted by /u/fakesaucisse [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
