First few days of Zakhama, Nagaland
Life and Its Experiments

It has been few weeks since I have arrived in Zakhama. “It is beautiful” was the first thing that I said to myself as I entered the Zakhama Military Station. Jakhama is a small Naga village located approximately 18 km south of Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Nagaland, just in case you aren’t aware is a state in North East India. Nagaland has piqued a lot of travelers and tourist’s interest in the recent times. This was my first time going to any North Eastern State for a long term stay. And the fact that it is a small and quaint village in Nagaland made me even more excited about my first rod ..read more

Rhythm Lonavala : All about my rejuvenating staycation
Life and Its Experiments

I don’t remember the last time I went out for any sort of vacation. While the city started opening in phases, NDA (National Defense Academy) continued to stay in lockdown. And since I happen to live in NDA I couldn’t step out at all. I craved for travel, adventure, hotel stay and biggest of all room service. So when God showed mercy on us and gates finally opened I decided to make my way out. An invitation from Rhythm Lonavala could not have come on a better time. I was thrilled to be out and about. More than anything I was looking forward to a luxury staycation experience with no outdoor plan ..read more

We are not out of the woods yet, but the longing for a rejuvenating holiday is hard to suppress. The pandemic has put a lot of things into perspective. The biggest revelation being the importance of health and wellbeing. Going forward the travelers will seek mental and physical wellbeing over the regular touristy “Things to do”. I have been planning for a relaxing trip since months to overcome the pandemic fatigue and I can’t think of any other destination apart from Thailand. Thailand – “The land of Smile” is equipped in every possible way to rejuvenate and reboot your mind, body and soul. I ..read more

Kerala is truly Human By Nature, here’s why! As a solo female traveller, Kerala has always been one of my favourite destinations in India because of its kind and generous people. From walking around the zig-zag tea plantations of Munnar to the devout experience at The Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum, from the colonial lanes of Kochi, to the unlimited aromatic massages at the Ayurvedic Centres, from sumptuous Sadya meals to the dense rubber plantation of Palakkad, all my experiences in Kerala have been nothing less than sublime. The consistent highlights of these amazing experiences have a ..read more

I got up at 5:45 in the morning. With absolutely no idea about the time, I walked into my kitchen and from there I saw the sunrise and that’s when I realized that it was quite early in the morning. I clicked a few pictures, drank some water and got back to my bed. Half an hour later I again got up and discovered something that I never want to, the period has arrived. Looking forward to a day of stomach ache and mood swings. Sunrise during lockdown Today I am also shooting one video with GoPro. I have one concept in my head for which I am shooting today, let us hope the clips get edited and the ..read more

I want to change my blog’s name. Right now it is called “Life and its Experiments” but I think I am now ready to change it. Why I want to change is a poignant question here. When I started my blog my life was all over the place. It was the most disturbing phase of my life. I was a basketcase and I started my blog just to vent out. I wanted a silent listener, someone who wouldn’t tell me that everything happens for a reason and there is a silver lining even in the worst of the storms. Although these things are true, I firmly believe in them now but back then I was young and stupid. Yes, I will ..read more

I got up to my mother’s video call at around 11 am. The conversation lasted for almost ten minutes and the moment she hung up I kind of curled back in the bed. Fifteen minutes later I dragged myself out of the bed and went straight to the kitchen. I started making tea for myself. Believe it or not, I really enjoy making myself a mug of tea. That mention to “mug” as intentional. I love making tea as much as I enjoy drinking it. It is a therapeutic phenomenon for me. I look forward to sitting with my tea and book to start the day. It is my most favourite time of the day.   On the topic o ..read more
