Hi buddies!, I had my RALP the 14th of March and I had a big problem due to a urethrovesical anastomotic leak. Now I’m with the catheter in and waiting for the spontaneous heal of the leak after an abdominal drainage. I’m really worried because I know if the little hole/leak does not close I’ll need another intervention and not easy as I read in the net. Did you someone suffered of this problem and the leak was closed by the body heal without external intervention?. Many thanks for your comments and example cases I need some hope in this moment. submitted by /u/MrKamer [visit reddit] [commen ..read more

Friend (54M) had normal psa of 2 last year. This year it was 4.7. Repeat psa upon visit to urologist 6 weeks later was 4.5. He has no symptoms. MRI was performed, no results reported to him, but a biopsy was ordered. Is cancer likely? My Gleason Scale is less than 6. Doctor advised if anyone is to get prostate cancer this is were they would want to be. It is low level and will not be my undoing. I was given many options for treatment. Doctor recommended keeping watch. Regular PSA tests and biopsy. I hate biopsies. An words of wisdom or experience with a low level PC diagnosis? Recommended pumps other than Vacurect

I recently purchased a Vacurect pump to help with penile rehab and try to get an erection for sexual activity. Unfortunately the Vacurect seems way too tight with the included restriction rings. It felt crazy tight and rather painful. I couldn't really even pump up the thing enough to produce a full erection, without it hurting. I'm no porn star or anything lol but I felt there was no possible way the Vacurect could be comfortable. A few years ago I ordered a cock ring and had to measure myself, I'd say between 7.5-7.75 length and 5.5-5.75 girth, when erect. Money is no object really. I'd lik ..read more

AWAITING BIOPSY RESULTS

I had a transrectal biopsy done on April 8th and they told me that the results take between 7 to 14 days to come back but to start texting the doctor exactly a week later, the 15th. On the 15th he said that they were not ready and to text him on Wednesday (today). Today he texted back saying that the biopsy tissue was sent for additional testing. Is this an ominous sign? They’re still within the 7 to 14 day time period but their being given further testing has me concerned. Should it or is this normal? submitted by /u/Spirited_Novel_2324 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is anyone in the same predicament that I am in? Had both testicles removed - one in 2008 and one in 2021 for testicular cancer so I produce no hormones. Went on testosterone replacement therapy and all was well. Then had to stop TRT when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer Had my nerve sparing RALP in June 2023. No horomones! No erections! Still wearing pads when I go out because if I sneeze or fart I dribble. Otherwise I'm in control of urinary functions. And now I'm losing leg hair and chest hair. My legs are baby smooth. I'm feeling less manly every day. submitted by /u/meh1963 [visit re ..read more

Elevated PSA, could intense PT-prescribed kegel exercise program have caused it?

Hi everybody, I'm 51M, and recently had a PSA come back as 5.8 when it was 1.3 within the past year. In thinking through any possible factors, around the time of the test I was on a rigorous program of pretty intense kegel exercises (several sets 2-3 times a day), as prescribed by a physical therapist for some pelvic floor issues. I hadn't done them for 2 days prior to the appointment, but the week prior I had done them very intensely every day, several times a day. I know levels can go up or down and can be raised by certain exercises and the prostate being physically stimulated, so I was wo ..read more

Met with the NP and took the devil, sorry, catheter out. Relieved to see all pathology is negative and everything appears to have been contained to the prostate. I think the comment was you couldn’t ask for better pathology results. Thrilled to say the least. Now on to diapers and boner pills! Seven days out and my surgical swelling is still way more than I’d like but it’s slowly getting better. I’ll happily deal with the side effects knowing that cancer is out of me! submitted by /u/OnlyAd8445 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
