Nielsen Black Weeks: Until the early 1970s, four times a year there were no TV ratings. During these “black weeks,” the TV networks filled their schedules with repeats and the occasional “prestige” program (documentaries and specials).

What TV show would you say started off as normal before becoming confusing?

I don’t know how to put it, but it’s just that sometimes there are shows that come off as easy to understand at first, but eventually go in a strange direction that confuses the viewer in some way. To provide an example, I would like to mention Farscape as don’t get me wrong in that the show is incredible with its worldbuilding, but it can also get confusing at times, like that one episode in Season One where John returns to Earth, and what seems normal at first quickly becomes a series of bizarre events that make it hard to understand what is really happening. submitted by /u/KaleidoArachni ..read more

It's seriously one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. It shares a lot of the same DNA as 30 Rock with a lot of the same creative staff and that kind of "living cartoon" vibe the show does so well. The third season was just added to netflix finally after what felt like forever and I just binged the series again to catch up and it's just so tightly written. The show is about an early 2000's girlgroup that gets a second shot after one of their songs goes viral. It's got some great pop culture nostalgia like Bojack Horseman did so well but mixed with that insane energy 30 Rock could ..read more
