Help identifying track lighting. I'd like to replace these track light heads. What do I look for whan I shop for new ones? There are many sizes/types of tracks. Juno, H track, L track. I believethis is a low-voltage 12v track, correct? And if so there's a transformer in the wall? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I'm brand new here and this is my first post. A bit long post due to lack of language skills, please forgive me.. I ask you for help regarding which path to take to try to solve what I think is a DMX problem. Scenario: I find myself in China touring an Australian show. We are inthe last stretch of a 9 week tour and this last one is a big theatre, a very simple show from a lighting point of view: a total of 32 fixtures, a mix of profiles, par cans and fresnels, all incandescent, no moving heads. I have been touring with this show/setup for more than 10 for years and sending ..read more

I'm helping a friend with a few museum exhibit designs, and need to come up with a solution to have a set of 22 discrete physical buttons (in different locations) trigger combinations of 17 lightboxes. Theres a second similar setup using 12 buttons to trigger 15 combinations of light boxes. So - 34 ins, 32 combinable outs. Previously, he did this with a bunch of voltage control and an excessive amount of wiring. I'm a show tech, so my mind instantly goes to a standalone DMX controller with bump cue ability (e.g. button 1 triggers channels 1,4,8; button 2 triggers ch 2,4,10 - and so on). I'm t ..read more

So I purchased a home with this lighting system installed in the curb and I found the power source, but the issue being most of the covers are missing and this is very dated. Would definitely like to update it to something a little cleaner. But Even just new covers would be nice I’ve gone to all my local hardware stores and specialty stores and can’t find anything. It looks like it’s 918. Bulb inside of a single j box powered by this power supply I have 2 different sets but not sure the best corse of action to repair /replace submitted by /u/Financial-Analysis79 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Has anyone ever had a DMX lighting system not start up correctly when cables have been unplugged and replugged back in the same places?

Hey y’all, so the mess of dmx distributors for my church’s lighting had been bothering me for a while so I asked if I could take the time to install them in the empty rack we had literally sitting right under them. Now I don’t have a huge amount of experience running light shows, but I’ve set up and torn down for a lot of smaller ones and I’ve always been under the impression that as long as a dmx system is put back together exactly how it was before it was taken apart, everything will just work when it’s powered back up again. So I took pictures and notes of exactly which cables went int ..read more

Have an outdoor space and have typical exposed bulb string lights. Looking to upgrade it a bit and wondering what else i could hang from the structural wire that would look nicer. Been searching for simply outdoor hanging lights but those are all more for a pergola or finished outdoor space. Anyone come across unique ideas? submitted by /u/Due_Capital_9249 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So we just got these lights in October and one of the panels is already out. Can anyone help me find a replacement? I'm getting so confused. Dad was trying to be helpful and broke the bulb. The bulbs are tubular and older, likely installed in the 80’s. My wife suggested Tiffany’s (her dad was a doctor and her mom was bougie), but I have my doubts and can’t find a maker’s mark anywhere. submitted by /u/BeowulfBoston [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
