Wife and I ripped up the shrubs that were here as they were awful. Any low cost suggestions as to what I can plant here? We live in long branch New Jersey if that matters or helps at all.

I bought a house, and it has this really nice yellow ground cover, but I have lots of other stuff coming up through the ground cover. Is there a good technique or way of ensuring that this area stays just the yellow ground cover? Also does anyone know what this is called? Someone told me it was called Creeping Jenny.

I live in Maine and for the past 2 years we always get tons of rocks on our lawn that have been plowed from our driveway. How can I mitigate or stop this all together? We have a gravel driveway that’s 200’ long so paving will be quite pricey. Thanks for any help!

Every single landscaping company has given me a quote for 2 rows of 4 inch stones to border the flower beds until today (except on the side with the slope, which would be 2+ stones). The guy I spoke with today said I should only use 1 row of stones for the front flower bed due to the distance from the garden bed to the top of the foundation. He says two rows could trap water and damage the foundation?
This is the first I'm hearing of this, and I haven't noticed any other house in my neighborhood with one row.
I prefer two rows. What do we think?

I have a crazy weed problem in my front yard and I noticed that my neighbors with these plants do not deal with weeds. I've asked them and they said they came with the house (Not sure how that is fair).

Not sure what this rubber piece is, where it starts/ends, or why it's here. We found it while digging up tree roots.

Last year I had 811 mark utilities in my back yard before doing some work. Knowing roughly where the lines were, I ordered some American Pillar Arborvitae to plant near the rear fence line to create some privacy. This year when 811 came they marked a gas line running parallel to the fence they didn't mark the year before, roughly where I wanted to plant the trees.
I could plant the trees back 4-5 feet from the line but that seems to close, right?
Any ideas? Plant the trees in planters and accept they'll love a short life and not be as tall? Pretty frustrated. Gas company had zero guidance whe ..read more
