Covid 19 was a world pandemic that brought air travel to a sudden and abrupt halt, and our Singapore Travel Blog was no exception. It was almost as if travel for 2020 was suddenly cancelled and yearly holidays were no longer going to happen. It has been close to 9 months since covid hit our lives and while we understand that such closures were for the better and safety for all, it was hard to rid that travel bug out of our system, especially when we were all confined to the premises of our home for most parts of the year. The good news is that Singapore government has just announced today tha ..read more

We are more than halfway through 2020 and its now safe to say that at least for the most of us, our travel plans for the year has now officially been ruined thanks to the Covid 19 pandemic. Even our Singapore Travel Blog ourselves have been stuck here in Singapore in what seems to be like forever. The worst part of it all is that this whole travel restriction ban doesn’t look like it’s going to be lifted anywhere in the near future. The best estimates by experts in the know seem to be for travel to only resume in 2021, and the worst estimates being travel to only fully resume in 2024. Well, th ..read more

One of the things Japan is known for internationally is it’s Onsen. Onsen is essentially Japanese Hot Spring where the water is heated naturally from geothermal spots. These natural hot spring water can be between 50 to 80 degrees celsius and have said to contain minerals that have medical properties. While I can’t personally attest to the medical benefits, I can tell you that soaking in an onsen does help the body to feel absolutely relax after. I always have the best sleep after soaking in an onsen. If you too are a fan of onsen, then head to Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, which has been said to hav ..read more

Noboribetsu is THE onsen city in Hokkaido. It is known across Japan, if not the globe, that Noboribetsu has one of the best Onsens around, thanks to Jigokudani (Hells Valley), an active volcano pit just above the city that supplies hot sulphuric spring water to the Noboribetsu Area. The hot water from these springs helps to relax the body and have been said to have several medical benefits. Many come from all corners of the globe to this tiny little town just to experience an authentic Japanese calming Onsen retreat, because just the Onsen alone makes the visit the Noboribetsu worthwhile ..read more

It’s no secret that we are big fan of beaches and beachside holidays! If you look through our travel blog and instagram, almost 50% of our holidays are beach related. Theres just something about the sea and lying on the beach whilst listening to the sound of waves crashing, and we just absolutely love it. But as much as we love the beach, there are things that we do NOT love, like getting our bags and everything we have inside sandy. The usual backpacks we all usually bring to the beach works just as well, but we have recently chanced upon Topologie’s dry series bags and we must say we abs ..read more

We all know Bali for it’s beaches, waves, nightlife, parties, alcohol and of course it’s many bars across the island. It’s no different for our travel blog, and our authors do the exact same old things when we head there. We do it so often that it has all become somewhat mundane and routine – not what we want in a holiday. After all, a holiday is about excitement; it’s about having something to look forward to and something to break the exact routine we face on a day to day basis. So this time, we got lucky, because on this trip to Bali, we found something that is not just unique but also ext ..read more
