A national juried exhibition at Upstream Gallery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY I was one of 3 jurors for PUSHING THE ENVELOPE (June 29-July 23, 2023), a national juried exhibition at Upstream Gallery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The exhibition prospectus told artists the jury wanted to see works that break through typical boundaries of art making – aesthetically, materially, and conceptually, and asked artists to “create work primarily using non-traditional and found materials, to create edgy work whose form and content challenges viewers to broaden their notions of what constitutes a work of art.”  ..read more

Eileen Hoffman, PINK CASCADE Eileen Hoffman will exhibit 3 wall installation in the exhibition DRAWING THE LINE at the Pelham Art Center, Pelham New York, February 16 – April 2, 2023. The image above is titled PINK CASCADE and will be included in the exhibition. It’s a dimensional drawing of a circle (an installation), 60”H x 60”W x 4”D, created with knotted chenille stems and fabric. Notice how the knotted stems radiate out from the center to a scalloped border at the edges. Mary McFerran, ANNE During the Covid 19 pandemic, Mary McFerran created a series she called Quarantine Quilts. I created four collages with the artist Bascove for the #USPSArtProject, and the fourth collage is now on site at the Greenly Art Space in Signal Hill, CA. The other collaborations with Bascove were shown at #USPSArtProjects exhibits in Pelham, NY, New Haven, CT, Philadelphia, PA and Dallas, TX.
