Working with Caesarstone for our kitchen countertops was a total dream! Our designer, Cynthia of Soda Pop Design Inc. loves their stone and when she introduced me to Caesarstone, I was instantly sold! We knew we wanted chic, white countertops and when we saw the final design (Cynthia had chosen Empira white) it’s like she had read my mind. The waterfall edge!!!! Omigoodness, it’s even more stunning in person! The veins in the stone are so unique. Some of them trail off on their own, and other veins clump into their own beautiful designs. CaesarStone slabs truly look like a piece of ..read more

Super Bowl chili on my Verona Range

This is my victory dance for cooking a pretty awesome turkey chili!  Just some late night cooking over here for the Super Bowl tomorrow.  What are you doing for the Super Bowl?! Cooking on my Verona range makes it easy to be in the kitchen. I’m not the best cook— I admit I have very limited recipes up my sleeve, but I try hard, and sometimes the meal is delicious and sometimes it’s well, sub par. Lol! But my turkey chili is always a winner and a staple for us on Super Bowl Sunday. Because of my Verona range, you will most likely find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes a ..read more

Challah bake

A few weeks ago I went to my first challah bake — a fundraiser for Lennox’s school. We made the dough in preparation to bake it at home. So fun getting together with some school moms, drinking a little vino and learning something new. The next morning after letting the “dough rise”, ha that makes me feel like a profesh baker Lennox and I rolled out the dough into three pieces and then braided it — such a fun experience with him! Our Verona range could not have baked the challah more perfectly! It was delish! The EZ Glide racks make it so easy to get whatever you’re baking or cooking in the ra ..read more

There’s nothing quite like being at home (FINALLY) and baking during the holidays. ‍ Or staying in your jammies all day— Lennox, the pj king! So when he asked to stay in pj’s and bake cookies (he knows I am slightly obsessed with our new Verona Range) he didn’t have to twist my arm. I’ve been coming up with all kinds of excuses to bake, cook, you name it! Last night we decided to bake MORE cookies!I’m still learning about our range and all of its awesome features, but one of my favorites at this point is the ezglide racks! Our old oven racks used to stick making it really difficult to remove a ..read more

When we chose our Verona range I knew it would be beautiful based on the photos I saw, but I did not know how incredibly gorgeous it would look in our kitchen! Eeeep! Our designer and I talked about choosing white and it could not be a more perfect fit. It definitely makes cooking meals during the busy week so much more enjoyable! Now that I have a range that I love to cook on, one of my quick & easy meal recipes that has become a staple in our home is stirfry!! Sometimes we use chicken but I tend to make it more often with thinly sliced beef! If it’s a super busy day I will buy a bag of p ..read more

Our new home may not be completely renovated yet, but Lennox‘s playhouse/swing-set is installed and it’s pretty much his DREAM COME TRUE so major win happening over here! And thank you to the best daddy for putting it together! Gotta love a hubby that insists on installing his son’s play-set! I tried to hire someone but my husband said he wanted to do it! Love you, babe! While we were researching play-sets and what would fit best in our yard, we kept going back to Woodplay. We love how customizable they are and it’s so fun to be able to switch out the different types of swings. My personal f ..read more

Thinking about our first Road trip post quarantine

This post is sponsored by Kelley Blue Book; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I’ve been wanting to go home to Arizona for months now. I want to hug my parents and all of our family and friends that we haven’t seen in way too long…It’s strange how planning a road trip looks so differently these days. It used to be that we would do the proper maintenance on our car to ensure everything was in tip top shape, and now, after making sure our car is good to go, we have to worry about testing for Covid-19 and make sure we as a family are healthy too. On top of all the stresses that quar ..read more

I’ve cooked 3,981 meals in the past two months ?

I’ve cooked 3,981 meals in the past two months. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every. Single. Day! A huge leap from our norm. We’ve only ordered take-out four times and although those meals were a nice reprieve, I prefer to cook meals for my family. I like knowing the exact ingredients that we are eating and having control of what we put into our bodies. My new Bosch refrigerator keeps everything super fresh, so we are getting a ton of fruits and veggies into our diet these days! I’m also trying to keep grocery store visits to a minimum, so I definitely stock up more than I used to. As a result ..read more

Astrology with Debra Silverman ???

Continued from instagram: There’s so much more about the reading that was wonderful to hear and learn, especially during these uncertain times. Being a psychotherapist AND astrologer, Debra helped me get to the core and look deeper into my personality traits and guide me to ways of working with them. vs. fighting against them which is my default reaction. She has such a loving and nurturing way about her, her POV and guidance simply made sense to me and has truly has impacted me since we spoke. All this without knowing anything about me besides my date of birth, where I was born and what time ..read more

Getting outside.

I haven’t written a blog in a while. I haven’t known what to say. I mean, my head is still swirling as I’m sure most of yours are and I don’t know what I even want to say? I’m sad. I’m concerned. I find brief moments of peace and then I see something new in the media and that moment vanishes. I’m worried for our elders and I’m worried for our children. Obviously everyone in between as well. I’m worried how this is going to affect the world long term, how it is currently affecting the world now. I don’t know. I do pray that as a society we will grow stronger and somehow come together. I’m start ..read more
