I was introduced to this Traditional Popular Roasted Meat place up in the hills of Bukit Gombak Estate. I searched through the stalls of the coffee shop only to realise that Xiang Mei Roasted Meat is an eatery that has a whole unit space of its own. Xiang Mei Roasted Meat Just before entering the eatery, a big menu is plastered by the side of the wall, allowing patrons to decide what to order. Menu The texture of the noodles was springy and tossed in its seasoning with blanched vegetables. The white radish soup consists of softened cut radish blocks. Despite this plainness w ..read more

While we tried a couple of stalls in Food Park, Soon Jing Roasted Meats is one of the last stalls we have tried. It drew our attention because a lunch crowd lined up in front of the stall.  Soon Jing Roasted Meats We ordered the trio platter with Char Siew, Poached Chicken and Roast Duck with braised egg. The Char Siew was well barbecued and packed with smokiness while the poached chicken was smooth and tender. The roast duck was decent without a gamey taste. With the last write-up of Island Penang Kitchen in 2015, we realised that Island Penang Kitchen is still as bustling as ever. The service did not compromise either. The service is still on the ball and our orders were taken quickly after we settled down on a table. Here are our refreshing drinks while waiting for our savoury dishes to be served.  Homemade Longan, Three Sour Juice, Ice Lemon Tea A common dish whipped up in Sambal Sauce comprising of Petai, Long Beans, Brinja and Okra (Lady's Fingers).
