In addition to this we occasionally share our favourite products and write articles about dog-related subjects and activities that you can enjoy with your dog. We love to attend charity events and actively fundraise whenever opportunities arise to ‘suppawt‘ the dog-oriented organisati ..read more

Paws and Rewind is a look back at the places, products, activities and events that we have been enjoying with Elsa over the past month.   May has been a marvellous month!  We started with a bit of FUN by celebrating Star Wars Day on May the 4th with Elsa the Ewok! We found out that May was tick awareness month and decided to show our support to the Big Tick Project by sharing the story of what happened when we found a tick on Elsa. We took some time off to enjoy the lovely Spring weather and visited The Dorothy Clive Garden - a real hidden gem and a lovely ..read more

The Flower Cup is a delightful combination of florist and coffee shop based in the heart of Chester.  One of our followers told us that The Flower Cup was dog friendly and, after seeing their instagram feed, we couldn't wait to pay them a visit!  They have a unique, contemporary style that sets them apart from other coffee shops. Everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal, you certainly wouldn't feel like you were on a production line being hurried on your way here... Dogs are made to feel very welcome at The Flower Cup!  Elsa was greeted ..read more

When we originally heard about dog treats made from fish we have to admit that the idea didn't sound very appealing to us... Our first thought was that they must smell terrible, and the concept of feeding dogs fish just seemed unnatural to us. Fast forward to today and we'd say at least 80% of the treats that we give Elsa are fish based! Fish4Dogs offer an amazing selection of products from 'Sea Jerky' to dog food, all made from responsibly sourced and sustainable fish.  We decided to give the Original Sea Jerky Fish Twists/ Dental Chews a try after becoming aware of the dang ..read more

This country pub is the talk of the town following its refurbishment into a barbecue smokehouse. When we found out that it was also dog friendly we couldn't wait to take Elsa to see what all the fuss was about!  We first visited The Sheet Anchor a few years ago, before we had Elsa, and at the time we thought that it was a lovely pub, nicely decorated inside with a spacious garden area and tables outside. We were quite surprised when we found out that it was being refurbished, but started to hear lots of good things about it from our friends... The pub is now part of the growing Paro ..read more

There's nothing quite like a British garden in full bloom and this one is a real hidden gem! The Dorothy Clive Garden is a gorgeous place to go for a walk with your dog. There is a large car park on site and the cost of parking is included in the entrance fee. The garden is run by a registered charity that relies on support from visitors, see the website for current prices and opening times. There is no additional charge for dogs but they must be kept on a lead at all times. (If it looks like we let Elsa off her lead, it's either an edited photo or my husband hiding behind the nearest tree ..read more
